Felecia Day

Wonder why they didn't think to give Veronica red hair and green eyes like Felecia? Would have been a nice touch.

Or any hair at all...

If you get her to change headwear, she's bald.

Which is odd, because in the GECK she has short black hair.

She's not, that's just the games (crappy) way of dealing with hair clipping issues when you equip hats. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_z1odMghQc7A/TMxJ3H_3kPI/AAAAAAAAAF0/XdFA3i_cgZY/s1024/ScreenShot6.jpg is her hair.

I for one am glad to see a celebrity who is willing to admit that he loves playing video games like a normal human being.

I dunno about that. Have you seen the interview with Vin Diesel when he gets rather over excited because Joanthan Ross tells him that his wife has a Specteral Tiger in World of Warcraft?

The only voice actor I didn't like, and I may catch some hell for this, was Mr. New Vegas, who I found to be hard to understand and seemed to mumble a little too much for my tastes...also he repeats songs too often. ;)

I didn't mind Mr New Vegas, and I don't think you can blame the actor for playing the same songs :P Speaking of him though, have you noticed how much he sounds like Colonel Tigh from Battlestar Galactica, I was convinced it was him before I looked it up. Would have made sense, he was in Mass Effect 2.

I'm surprised you didn't think Doc Mitchell sounded like Col. Tigh first. He's the first character you speak to in the game, and he is Tigh.

Oh I assumed that was the same guy lol. Why'd they hire two different actors with the same voice?

Wow I actually had never seen that video before but I gotta say that Matthew Perry seems just as dorky and overexcited when he's talking about Fallout games. Even says that he had to have injections in his hands because of playing FO3 so much in one interview, in another he actually gave Ellen DeGeneres an Xbox360 and a copy of Fallout 3. Guess all his dorky promotion of the game paid off and landed him a spot in the voice acting department. Can't complain though I think Matthew Perry is a cool cat, dig?

My problem with Mr. New Vegas also might've been that somethings up with the audio and sometimes the songs are really quiet so I turn the music up, then Mr Vegas pops in extremely loudly and distorted, sounding like crap because of the volume. The replaying of the same songs part was a joke of course.

If you're talking about Mr. New Vegas it's because the voice actor Wayne Newton's nickname is Mr. Las Vegas. Which is a pretty cool touch imo.

Meh, while her voice acting wasnt terrible, her character personality made me want to turn around and say 'Okay, look. Shut up. I stashed 10,000 caps at the Quarry near Sloan, go fdetch it for me.'. Sadly this isnt an option, so I hired her after about 1 minute of hiring her. :whistling:

Interesting. I wonder if it was because I had a female character, or some of the things I'd done in previous quests, but she told me who her family was right in our initial conversation.

I think it depends partly on how you respond to her when she asks you what you think of the Brotherhood.

In my current playthrough, I've held off on recruiting her until I'm a full member because I want to see if she says anything different.

Funny, if you take Veronica into the Bunker, one of the BOS will say to her "Hi Veronica, still trying to hide your hair?" (referring to her hood). So I assumed she was bald or somesuch too.

No, I know, it's just he sounds so much like Michael Hogan.

No, the earlier post was correct. Boone is Jason Marsden, not James. No X-Men connection. Just a quality VO actor.

You have a typo in the game's credits then - it says James Marsden.

I havn't met Matthew Perry yet, but I'm not expecting good things. There's nothing worse than a mediocre TV/movie actor trying to do voice over work. Like Carrie-Anne Moss in Mass Effect *facepalm*

Edit - Oh wait actually, can't mention terrible celebrity voice actors without mentioning Mena Suvari's redition of Aerith from Final Fantasy....

I'm actually glad they used him as Benny. Both of them annoy me extremely and it made the head shot feel even more justified after learning who voiced him. I even saved just prior to go back and annihilate in new interesting ways.

Felicia did a good job but I think Cass is the best in terms of voice acting and overall character.

I wonder who did Cass? Hmm.

Oh my, he is correct. That's awkward, considering it should have been Jason Marsden :S

I agree. Cass has actually the most unknown voice actor of all of them. Though she does a large, large spectrum of voice acting.

Doesn't even have a wikipedia article. But here is the homepage

I really liked Felicia by the way

In terms of favorite companions from best to worst in regards to writing and VO (Well, thats not really true loved every charachter)

-Cass
-Arcade
-Veronica
-Raul
-Lily
-Boone

I didn't like Cass at all. The acting was fine but the character was horribly cliché and rather one dimensional.

Ahh, thank you for that. There has been quite some debate on the Fallout wiki over this.

Just to confirm, you're saying that Boone is indeed voiced by FO2 VA Jason Marsden, and not James Marsden as listed in the game credits, correct?

You realise this is a forum right? Your not speaking to the guy in person? If you want to confirm what he said, just read it again "Boone is Jason Marsden"

I don't like her. I brought her to a deserted spot in the desert placed a crap load of mines around her along with C4 and she exploded in every direction. (bloody mess FTW) though with the amount of explosives near her doubt that perk was even needed for the effect I got on her

The only thing im sick of with veronica is when you go into her inventory..."(gasp) is it a dress?!?!" makes me want to chop her head off.....just like that little snot for "MICK & RALPHS"

otherwise she does have some nice convorsation.

I tend to not use companion inventory very much, whenever I give them stuff to carry I just forget I have it for the rest of the game, so that phrase has never bothered me. Having said that if she says "Am I going to have to take that away from you?" one more time I'm going to throw her off Hoover dam.

They should probably fix the Marsden gaffe in the credits in the next patch. If I were Jason Marsden, I'd be pissed off.
