In every single TES game, I'm always a altmer female because I love being a snobby high class woman who thinks she better then everyone else.
I know it's a little too late, but since we have not seen a decent screen shot of a female altmer, I'm hoping Bethesda actually made them look like there description.
In the beginning of oblivion, valen says " well look at he elegant altmer maiden....". Thats what confuses me. When I hear elegant I think beauty, and female high elves are any thing but. There faces look like golden fish heads. ( in my opinion) I'm hoping that in skyrim, they will actually look beautiful and worthy of thinking there better then everyone else.
Like really, look at this and tell me if you think this is an elegant beautiful maiden.

Every single female Altmer is old and wears high-class clothing and lives in a mansion full of cats. XD JK

They should be more regal and noble as opposed to just "beautiful". Yes, some of them should be beautiful - but I think there should be examples of beauty shown in every race, not just unique to female Altmer. I also think it would be unrealistic if every female Altmer was stunningly gorgeous. However, I do think they should capture your attention because of the proud way they carry themselves and their haughty demeanour. I also think they should look somewhat alien, but in an ethereal way.

I think they all should have a unique walk too different then other female races.
They should stick their nose In the air, put one hand on there hip, and sway there hips like a runway model.
That's how I walk when I walk down the hallway at school.

There is one unclear picture of a female altmer. You can't see her face, but she has a nice looking body.

I suppose you have a taste for old yellow women.

Seriously though, I think there should be the Altmer Matriarch archetype as well as the you Altmer Maiden archetype.

When I said "carry themselves" I didn't mean how they walk. I meant their attitude, behaviour and way of speaking. Sorry if I wasn't clear. :/

But they are the children of Aphrodite, therefore they're all supposed to be beautiful. Sure I just meshed two different mythologies, but hey, who cares?

There is nothing that two hours with character gen can't fix, even jaundice. I always play female Altmer, but we have had the same thing with the Argonians, some saying they look evil. The Altmer should look alien, not classically beautiful to human eyes. It does have to be said that the ones in OB looked like boarding school matrons, which would explain the skin tone - excessive nicotine.

EVERYONE looked horrible in Oblivion. From what we've seen of females in Skyrim, the Altmer ladies will be fine.

Honestly, I think that High Elves should not be pretty, in fact, I think they should be hideous. They are alien, and strange. Tall, magical elves who live in a strict caste system and only allow the best offspring to survive, this sounds like selective and in-breeding happens a lot, and this never results in a pretty face!

No matter what you can do to an Altmer, they will always be abysmally ugly snobs on the inside. :icecream:

In Oblivion being ugly wasnt exclusive to Altmer maidens.

Judging from what we've seen from other races, Altmer females should be rightfully stunning, just as the Dunmer look like the cursed folk they are, and the Argonians as alien as they are supposed to be.
Now I only need a comparison in height of Altmer and Nord females for my alter ego. ^_^

Thank you, I was not sure if that was propaganda or fact, I had actually put that into one of my roleplays, my High Elf who had escaped infanticide, only to become the most powerful mage since Mannimarco.

Guess I need to do some retconn............
