Female models

it makes no sense to me, in today's day and age that you wouldn't add just 1 female model. being a female gamer id rather a female model.

It's a lot of work to add something like that. It wouldn't just be a single model. It would need animations, new clothing options, etc.

They could get away with same animations at the very least, but doubling up on the clothing would be a lot of work.

I agree, but this has been covered I'm pretty sure at least two dozen times on this forum (no exaggeration).

Apparently Splash Damage couldn't put in females AS WELL as the large amount of custimization, and so they chose custimization. Personally, I think having females would go a loooong way to making this game more enjoyable to play, as it would have made it far more real.

But I didn't develop this game

It has been stated many times before that there are no female models. Also its a lot of work, plus no one complained when you could not toggle your gender in CoD or Battlefield.

really? that's no excuse. i bought the game for myself and 4 others. would be great to have a female model as in l4d 1 and 2, borderlands and many other games out atm. it being a hard thing to do is a pretty sad excuse.

Notice the lack of... any customization for physical appearance in those games.

Unfortunately, despite the lack of work required to make the actual models, Splash Damage saw fit to be sixist and leave women out of a war game even though women enlist in the military and police forces a lot these days. They probably want women to stay in the kitchen. I wouldn't be surprised.

Considering how surprisingly lacking in content this game is, there should have been plenty of room on the disc to handle female characters. The only REAL issue would have involved voice acting; would the disc have enough room to hold all of that audio data? Again, considering how few maps there are and the insanely short campaign mode, there should have been plenty of room.

Because those people know they can just go play Halo 3 or Halo Reach, which DO have female models and voice acting.

Yeah that is a sad excuse on why they didn't add females. There are a lot of female gamers out there.

Not really.

Release the game now or delay to support the very minority of gaming crowd? From a business standpoint, the answer is clearer then a Mr Cleaned window. Some might say the window wasn't even there it was so clear.

[censored] A, we've been through this one million times, almost literally now. Here's why, not enough time and money. Plus, this is just me speaking, would you want to see a female heavy? Didn't think so.

Are you that shallow? Female heavy?? Who cares. Grow up. The game needs female models. Lack of time is a real sad excuse.

COD did not have female models, no one complained about that.

This isn't the COD forum, is it? Didn't think so. COD is a [censored] game. Brink is better and could be better yet.

Your right, but female models are pretty much the last thing that needs to be implemented. Why? Well because they need to fix bugs, glitches, hacks, etc... before they even think about creating a DLC that allows female bodies.

Again many games dont ahve them, but you played those, so why does this game totally svck because they did nto do them. This game would be even harder to do because of all the unique items that you can equip your character whereas in CoD there are 5 Character models, and then different version fo teh same model for each faction.

I know there are a lot of female gamers. I never said there weren't a lot. However, the simple fact is that the number of female gamers compared to male gamers, females are in the VAST MINORITY, so from a business standpoint, it would be utterly stupid to delay a game simply to please a tiny portion of the intended market.

If, from a development standpoint, it would have been possible to include female models, I'm sure they would have. I have no qualms against them having female models.

Hey hey hey......CoD is a great game. It's not a TDM only game. Play the objective based game with a group and dominate kids all night. THAT is good ole fashion fun. I have several girls on my FL and none complain about female characters on COD.

The problem with brink is the whole customizing thing. There aren't THAT many things. Hell Rainbow Six Vegas has customizing with Armour effects and a color pallet too. That was 5 years ago. Also had maps with MULTIPLE game types.

The game is short....maps are smaller then I though they would be and the 10 or whatever male voices could have been dropped to 6 and 4 females would have shown an effort. Skins and clothing is NOT the issue. MONEY and TIME were.....and that in itself is a joke. Development on a game that took this long AND they already had female artist that could have whipped up some cool stuff.

In the end......they decided no and backpedaled to say why.

Ofcourse this is all my opinion.

I also like female models, but that is beside the point. Splashdamage almost implemented them, but decided it would limit customization to do everything twice.d

Halo's females were the same char. model with a different voice, they didn't have true females either. And let's be honest, some of the game-modes wouldn't work for Brink.
