female players

Met my wife on AOL around fifteen years ago, so it doesn't always turn out badly.

lol I'm actually giving my male characters make-up. My altmer in the beta had eyeliner and black lipstick(wish there was a way to change the colour though) and I loved it. Would have been funny if orcs had that option as well, then you could roleplay a fat persian-inspired orc merchant with a creepy smile. The make-up option is replaced by some face paint in case of orcs and nords though, even for women.

This reminded me of my favourite youtube comedian..

Cyba, it's unfortunate that you and other female gamers have to put up with crap like that. My guild has plenty of women in it, including several officers. If you're looking for a mature, pvp-centric guild that treats all its members with respect, check out http://getoffenris.com.

lol! I only briefly read the quick summary on the second link, but the whole concept seems self defeating. When I read " As like-minded women who game, we want to show you that there is so much more to us than these feral, and sometimes harsh, stereotypes." it just seems as though by uniting in a front against the stereotypes you are adding more weight to them.

?I'm not trying to insinuate that inappropriate behavior doesn't take place from time to time but by grouping yourself up and labeling yourselves, then the exact same stereotypes you are trying to fight are vindicated in that you are trying to portray that you are a special segment of the gaming population that everyone should take note of.

I like the idea of it being a place for people with similar values to game together and enjoy one another's company but adopting the label perpetuates the label.

My wife will be playing this game, she never tells people her gender and never uses voice devices (me neither). We like to RP and stay as much in character as possible. She'll be a male Argonian who knows his trade, basic TES lore and has a backstory to tell, nobody will know the ugly beast is a young lady. In WoW she played human rogue and dark elf druid.

But thats the sad part, shouldn′t matter if she is a female or male RL, what matters is what she plays in the game and if she can get the job done.

Problem is where the "idiots" kinda ruins it for both male and female players when they start behaving different coz OMG BOOBS! insted of in fact focusing on the fact well is this player the player we need that can get the job done or not.

Exactly. All that should matter when we game is we get the job done, and aren't dikes about it.

And shouldn't have to hide who we are to make it easier to basically just play and have fun. Should be able to just get along and do game stuff, talk about things like we're all people and aren't looking for some kind of weird long distance action simply because our genders are different

I'm just trying to add something constructive to this thread. Grievance Gamer Girls is a positive group with in our guild focused on good gaming experiences. The OP asked about female players, and we have some great female gamers. Thank you.

Is it meant to be a female exclusive group?

lol I'm sorry I didn't mean to imply that it wasn't a positive group in the least, and my commentary on its concept was probably unwarranted. But there's a lot of criticizing going on in this thread about males acting inappropriate towards females when I know full well that there are women who will announce their gender as soon as they join a guild and expect different treatment.

It just seems like all this OMG BOOBZ mentality is employed by both genders, especially when a women is like OMG I HEV BOOBZ.

I find it great that you have a guild that can provide good gaming experiences and at the end of the day a game is always more fun when we have a bunch of people to share it with. Nothing should take away from that and I wasn't trying to be insulting.

When ever I hit the quote button it's not adding the quote, but yes it is a female exclusive group. The focus is on just being great gamers and having fun together.

Yes. Why would we not play ESO?

We're all gamers don't need a gender divide <_<

These kinds of threads make me lose faith in not only the community, but humanity as a whole. It is 2014. I cannot believe this is even a thing.
