Female werewolves.

Post » Thu Jan 16, 2014 12:03 pm

I personally can't bring myself to have one of my female characters become a werewolf because it just doesn't look right.

It's far too weird that she still would get those male abs when transformed.

True, werewolves with boobs do look silly as I've seen in some modded versions. Still, it shouldn't look exactly the same for both genders.

The vampire lord is a different story, as there is a clear distinction between male and female forms.

I wish it was different is some sort of way, but it doesn't really bother me as i never become a werewolf as a female in the first place. I dont even know how they could make it work. It would look weird if you added female features, maybe make the fur brown?

ah now i want to play as holo.

I don't know, maybe some smarter and subtler ways like changing the head's shape or having slightly less muscle mass.

Never really thought of it. Doesn't bother me, Aela is the one who's blood makes you a werewolf and she doesn't seem worried about not looking feminine in beast form.

They ought to be skinnier and their face a bit more feminine, but not to the point of losing all their fierceness.

Don't know as I have given it much thought but then I have only done the werewolf faction twice with my female characters and never with a male, so I didn't know they were supposed to look different. They did look a little on the burly side now that you mention it.

I would probably prefer that I could play as one in first person, then I wouldn't have to look at myself.

It bothers me. The modded boob look is about the best it gets sadly. Not sure why you get an obvious vampire lord male and vampire lord female... but unisix werewolf?

Yes I wouldn't mind my female werewolf being maybe smaller, lighter in color perhaps and yes... with fur covered briasts.

Not that you can really tell, but Female werewolves actually are a little smaller. Male werewolves are 1.1 times the normal body scale (this is the same scale used to make Altmer so tall). Females remain at 1.0

It felt really wrong to me to be a Khajiit werewolf. I mean really, a man-cat that turns into a man-wolf? Personally, I don't think being a female werewolf would be that big of a deal. After all, its kind of hard to tell the difference between a boy and a girl dog until you get really close and do some inspecting.

I guess when you're a tall, hairy, bloodthirsty beast of Hircine, you don't worry too much about looking feminine. ;)

Now, a Khajiit/Argonian werewolf? That's weird.

Just had a look at the mod over on nexus and can't say that I would want my female werewolf to have boobs.

werewolfs are not worgen...

In nature the female wolves are still built like the males, just different plumbing

So werewolfs would be more akin to looking the same, in fact by wolf physique the males are the ones lacking (but for obvious reasons)

But werewolves are not 100% wolf, they're kinda halfway between human and wolf.

Agreed. Female wolves are smaller than male wolves so female werewolfs should be slightly smaller than male werewolfs and have 6 nipbles.

Yeah, I mean, how dares a woman to get abs when she turns into a giant muscular dog that eats people. So not realistic. :D

People tried that in games before and it apparently looked completely hilarious in action. For example, cyclops in God of War were originally supposed to have schlongs and balls. Devs said it looked so funny that it drained out every bit of epicness out of the battle and everyone in turn stared at the dangling parts.

Strangely enough, I'm fine with the modded female werewolf boobs. Werewolves are after all not wolves, but sort of a mix between humans and wolves. They walk on their hind legs and have hands rather than paws. That they would have more human traits seems plausible. Maybe I wouldn't have gone for boobs had I made the design, but I'm fine with it.

On a side note, my female Breton was cute as a (modded) werewolf. She was so tiny compared with those big Nord werewolves! Not sure if race affects size in vanilla as well.

It does according to the lore I think. Physicalities of Werewolves mentions how much do various test subjects' bodyparts grow in percentages if I recall correctly, so it makes sense, since 30% growth in a big male Nord obviously won't be as much as 30% would be on a small Breton woman.
