Not entirely true. Yes, they can't MAKE them. While doubtful this will get money returned to the customer, it is possible that BBB ASKS for compensation for products/services unrendered. A big part of the BBB is trying to get compensation for this very reason. In fact, if you file a complaint, it is one of the five selections for reason of filing the have listed on their forms. At the very least the complaint will be filed and when the company is researched via the BBB database, his complaint will be there. And the BBB is a very well run organization and they will contact Bethesda, where as when we try to talk to someone, we're hit with closed doors.
Actually, it is entirely true. Clearly you don't understand that the BBB is a *private* organization that has no legal power over any company.
In fact, the ONLY "power" the BBB has is as **mediator** - between customers and businesses who pay money to belong to the BBBBethesda doesn't belong to the BBB. The BBB has no power over Bethesda, and would not even attempt mediation with them.
Now, you might be able to make a complaint about the store that you bought FONV at - IF that store belongs to the BBB.
If it doesn't - see above.
And anyway - most stores have existing policies about returning opened software and refunds, so even then you are pretty much SOL.
Which is exactly what Bethesda was counting on (your inability to return the game when you paid for it), when they released this POS.
Now if you really want to feel that your voice has any effect what so ever- I suggest that you do what someone else here recommended - post a review on AMAZON.com or any gaming site. It's far more likely to influence someone's decision to buy. Influencing someone's decision to buy - influences profits or the lack there-of.
And that is what Bethesda is likely to listen to.
