1) Objective Wheel
- On a console i can see why they would implement it like that, on a PC there are better options.
One thing i dont like it is that i have to use this huge wheel to change mission. It blocks the screen, i cannot do anything else meanwhile and i have to constantly check for new objectives.
Proposal:
For PC, add an option to show the currently available missions as a menu on the screen. Then let me toggle that menu with a hotkey or let me assign hotkeys for each mission slot.
2) Barnett
- I have played a lot of Brink and we have a pretty dedicated sniper on our team. I also snipe myself quiet a lot and we (together with the other 20 from our group) agree that the weapon would be fine if it could no longer be damage buffed by the Engineer. Right now it is simply to strong when buffed. The argument that you have to hit as it has a long reload is flawed.
Any weapon has to hit or i am gone, the better my opponents, the more true this becomes.
3) Rebalance SMGs.
- Right now the Carb is totally overplayed. Competitive teams run around with one Carb each. Instead of having 5 or 6 SMGs that, in order to be different, become unbalanced, i would prefer more weapon models but less ones with different stats. Easier to balance and better for those like me that love customisation.
4) Hackbox defuse time
- Needs to raised by factor 4 or so. The defensive team should be able to hold off the attackers long enough for them to never touch the Hack Objective or not let them finish it.
Map Layout and Spawn points favor the defensive team enough for this to be possible. So removing the hack, if at all possible, should be a slower process then the actual hacking.
5) Hitboxes
- They seem off right now, first of all we tried some different char models and it seems that huge afros or helmets actually increase the head hitbox. Which is obviously bad against snipers.
Second, sometimes weapons are spot on when shooting, yet there is no registered hit. I know that the bullets will randomly hit anywhere in the circle, that is not the issue. Even if the whole circle is covered by a target it sometimes seems to miraculously miss.
6) Camera Movement when using Heal/Rezz/Buff
- This is especially annoying. I run past someone, throw him a syringe and do a weird 180 turn because my camera sticks to the Rezz target (as an example).
Why would i have to look at him the whole time ? Surely a person of average dexterity can drop an item on someone right beside them without having to focus their entire mind on the task.
7) SMART
- While awesome i would like the option to disable SMART to automatically climb stuff when it feels it to be adequate.
So it should only climb, slide etc when i manually engage. E.g. by jumping, crouching while sprinting etc.
Sounds negative because it is a list of critiques but it is actually the only flaws i can find. I truly love the game and a lot of the complaints i heard are actually non existant for me.
