A Few Problems

Sound...wow, you keep coming up with them...What is the issue, exactly?

I had the music & voices, but no FX..., I haven't checked the settings yet,... I have a PCI XFI, but I'm only using the OnBoard audio, I just disabled the XFI, but it shouldn't have been a factor, the Realtek is the default...

Why are you using onboard audio? That should have hurt performance.

I've got it connected with an optical cable, the X-FI needs an 3mm composite, (I don't have handy (waiting on wona does round tuit's)).

**Sound was All me,... I put an edit Right in the middle of DLCShiveringIsles (Right Here)- Sounds.bsa Works good now... :celebration:

Well, it was fine,... (so I HAD to change it) I'm back to missing Meshes again, (actually Icons) One from Mart's, and one from Oblivion.ESM ((SH) Daedric Shield (0003635C) ) I'm a little puzzled with that one... no problems in TES4Edit, but I checked my Data folder and there's no Dadric sheild mesh, but I'm not sure there should be... the other one in this dump is a ring, from Mart's ® Process Token (3300BCC3) No luck finding that,

You are running the wrong version of OOO for use with FCOM. You have to use version 1.34b5. Your OOO plugin says 1.33. You are not using the full version of OOO, so I would expect problems.

I actually had the 134b5 patch dumped on top of the 133 package(didn't rename it, (to get rid of my Oarnge checkbox)) :hubbahubba:

I don't really think so, I'm missing the inventory icon for a pair of plain ordinary elvish boots, but the Dadric shield is there, I use formid and it says I'm missing the shield and operantly a ring, (this is on my CM Partner) I added a couple mods, trying to switch them out to see if it clears things up at all...
Oh, Stats are out of whack as well, I have ~ -2 million infamy, my other partner(I haven't seen for awhile) had ~ 3000 fatigue. :violin:

Well, tracking down the icon is just a matter of looking up the texture path in TES4Edit. What have you installed with OBMM? I am wondering if BSA Redirection needs to be updated on one end or the other. It would really be best if you installed everything with BAIN, then all of the conflicts would be "visible."

I haven't used OBMM for anything, I did try it's BSA redirection, as well as Archive_invaiadation_invaladated...
I've rebuilt the patch & TESLod4Gen each tine I tweak anything, The Dadric shield belongs to Oblivion.Esm, the ring to Marts, the boots would probably be OB.esm as well, there were some chests in Lydia??(quest Ruin for elvish helm(Aylid king)) missing meshes I wasn't familiar, but it seems to be pretty widespread, I didn't see Any kind of conflicts with what I could find in TES4, just a Master and bashed patch...

Oh. Only use one form of archive invalidation. Remove all but the BSA Redirection in BAIN. I think it is checked by default, but right-click on the "packages" tab to make sure it is checked. Regenerate your Oblivion.ini before doing so. Otherwise, you would have to figure out which BSA belongs to ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated! and also remove the BSA added by OBMM. If you think that is easier, go ahead. Just make sure the BAIN's BSA is the only one you are using.

Still nothing, I've uninstalled all the New Mods I added scince it was working, checked BSA redirection in Bain,deleted Oblivion.ini,run BOSS, rebuilt patch, TES3LODgen, Doesn't OBMM cgange tie time code on the BSAs??
(You know I couldn't cone up with anything simple...) :cryvaultboy:

OBMM has that function, but that is not an automated thing. The new INI is not regenerated until you launch the game. After launching it again, you need to go back into Wrye Bash and click in the Installers tab and set your save profile again (if you used one) so that Bash retweaks the INI. After regeneration, BAIN's redirection BSA has not yet been added to the sArchiveList. You need to make sure that it is re-added. Initializing BAIN should be enough, but just make sure you have that one extra BSA in your sArchiveList.

I uninstalled everything in bain, I couldn't see any leftovers in my Data folder (BOSS and a couple folders)
Just reinstalled The Basic (plus Eve) files I needed to recheck, And there's Still no Dadric Sheild,( interesting thing, both charcaters were necked)
But I Can't see why I would need Any BSA anything at this level...

You have that problem loading just those few plugins? That is quite strange... Maybe you should reinstall. Did you touch the original BSAs? I have no clue as to why and original files would be missing. Installing mods would not have removed the original files from the original BSAs. The game should still be able to find those.

Ok, I'm Totally Lost, I pasted a Fresh copy of the entire Oblivion folder over the top, reloaded basic files and it's still boogered... :brokencomputer:
apparently it's in the Save file, I tried deleting the .obse with no effect... :unsure2: :( This is just plain Weird...

I had problems when I first installed this, I'm booting on E:, I installed to \Bethesda\Games and every thing went fine for awhile, then Windows decided to enact UAC for that directory, I set it up for an Administrator, but UAC was still active, so I shut it off..., (was a bit more to it, but that's the essence)

I'm wondering if I'm not just having Path problems, I'll go back to C: and install back on E: (C: was filling up) & see what happens...

What can I save from this mess??? I shouldn't need to bother my Bain directories...,

Well, I guess I knew better, a fresh install on C: and nothing has changed, even the same crash on exit. What is interesting, I took the shield, it appears in inventory, and if I drop it , it's on the ground, but when I Equip it, it's not visible...
Is there anyway to save a bugged save game??..

I don't think it's a bad texture path, because it appears on the ground... what it sounds like to me is that it has a ground model, but no normal model set in the CS. Same question stands, however... do you have any mod that edits the shield?

The ground model could be a different model. I have noticed this most often with stock clothing and armor replacers for body replacers. The male, female and world models can be different; however, this should have nothing to do with a shield. It is not missing mesh. I have only heard of bad texture paths not missing model paths, but I guess they would result in the same thing...?

You're right about it not being a missing mesh, when the game can't find the model defined by the data. What I'm talking about is there not being any model defined by the data. The creator of whatever plugin modifies this shield set a ground model (or didn't touch the default ground model) without setting an equipped model (or accidentally set it to no model at all)*. A missing texture will cause the model to be purple, and a missing normal map will cause it to be black. Neither would cause it to be completely invisible.

*So says my theory, at least... didn't mean to make it sound like I knew for sure :P

That was a plain old ordinary Daedric sheild, I was striped down to a minimum install, on a Fresh installation...
I have had Several Mods installed over the Course of that save game, I'm pretty certain that sheild was never modified, and I can't understand how an "Icon" could be missing from the vanilla game...

The sheild is invisible when it's Equiped, it's visible in inventory or on the ground...,
I get a fuscia??(pinkish-purple) square with formid finder...

I reinstalled onto a differant boot drive, I loaded just my basic mods + race and Partners, makes no differance,,,
