1. As far as I know you can lay on the ground waiting to be revived indefinitely, so long as nobody finishes you off and you don't choose to respawn. Fair warning though, the self-revive ability has a long cooldown time.
2. Hip-firing is very effective out to medium range.
3. Pretty short, but the shots don't seem to mysteriously vanish like they do in CoD.
4. No clue.

Well since I know they have used controller rigged PC's for expos I dare say its in. Also shotguns are close range weapons. Also the self rez is a high level medic ability with a long cooldown.

EDIT: Ah yes, I'd forgotten that some of the demos they've shown off were done using PC's and controllers. So yeah, you're all set there.

Before you read this, please know that I could be terribly wrong, this is just what I imply from gameplay Ive seen.

If you go down, you can be revived by a medic. After 20 seconds you can choose to respawn if you are so inclined. Or you could keep waiting to be revived. Kind of like a respawn "cycle".

I believe this only because in a gameplay video I watched (too lazy to find and link it), while a guy is downed, on the bottom of the screen it reads "join reinforcements in" and beside that a 20 second ccountdown.

Why would you want to use a controller on the PC? There most likely won't be an auto aim in the PC multiplayer of BRINK (and if there is you would be banned from many servers for using an aimbot because that is how PC gamers think of an auto aim feature) so you would be putting yourself at a huge disadvantage to other players that use the mouse and keyboard. The mouse and keyboard are both more accurate and faster than a controller.

The game spawns you in waves, so I'm assuming the waves are 20 seconds apart. So you could be killed with 7 seconds left til the next wave, bleed out and spawn just in time to catch it.

We don't know precisely, but it's been stated that the cooldown is long enough that it should only be used in critical moments, not something that can be used for just quick respawns.

Shotguns: effective range ?
Short to medium; we haven't seen anything suggesting modifications for spread reduction or slug ammo yet.

Controller: is it enabled for pc ?
Very likely that controllers are supported for you confused people who prefer them.
