I was in Dragonsreach, looting around the complex for gold and other things of value. I stole from Farengar Secret-Fire, only a few soul gems and pick-pocketed him when he was sleeping. Later that week I was in River wood and decided to do some smithing at Alvor's. I found some Hired Guards who started chasing me, I followed up by killing the three of them and when I searched the leader's body I found a contract. After reading the letter which included remarks about me being a thief I found that it was sent by Farengar. Is this a scripted event or the work of the radiant AI? Also I'd like to note that when I confronted Farengar there was no conversational option.

Secondly what is the best house available to buy in the game? I'd like one with a lot of space and room for items, I'm always getting over encumbered. Can only answer the contract question, yes NPC's do send hired thug's after you also it's possible to be hunted by a Dark Brotherhood assassin. Moral of the story is, be careful who you piss off! lol.

~~As for the best horse to buy, no idea. But the black horse I have is the best horse without a doubt, can't be bought though~~. House, horse, potatoe, potata. :spotted owl:

She's still a hottie, either way the Radiant AI has shown to be as awesome as they said it would be. In fact I was robbing the Riverwood trader and came across an other thief robbing the place next door. Just brilliant. By the way I said "House" not "Horse"

No idea either way! I've not bought a house, I was just randomly given one.
