I was thinking about the Commentaries and a few lines that makes it almost seem as if Mankar has attained CHIM.

"Greetings, novitiate, and know first a reassurance: Mankar Camoran was once like you, asleep, unwise, protonymic."

"When my voice returned, it spoke with another tongue. After three nights I could speak fire."

"Mankar Camoran was once you, asleep, unwise, protonymic, but Am No More"

"CHIM. Those who know it can reshape the land."

All of these seem to indicate that he might have it, could be just bull of course, but he has quite a bit to back it up with; He is extremely powerful. He created Paradise and was able to wear the Amulet of Kings. Seeing as you are everyone and everything when you have CHIM, it makes sense that one could wear it right? Although the CoC was able to kill him doesn't make much sense in that case, but we have defeated daedric princess and killed god-likes before, so.

However if he did have CHIM, then why would he bother trying to conquer Tamriel and return to the Dawn Era if he already was godlike? Unless existence in the Dawn is something even greater?

What are your thoughts about this?


Another thing I have thought about; Is Mankar more Anuic in his alignment than Padomaic? Anu is infinity and stasis, Padomay is nothingness and chaos. Mankar wants to destroy time (stasis) (I guess, since that was the goal of the Leaper Demon King who is Dagon, and the Greedy Man who is Lorkhan) and bring the "Earth of all infinities" to reality.

Again, your thoughts?

He certainly failed very quickly, so he didn't learn Lorkhan's lesson. He was all talk and privileged living.

I'm not sure, I just know he was unstable.
