Closed, but not locked (as is apparent). Can polls even be locked on these forums without actually locking the thread?

Don't think so, but you can shut off the poll.

Depends on which you want...it's not a locked poll where you can still see the results, but turns the thread into a normal thread without a poll.

I motion for a recount, not counting San Francisco. Secondly, I motion for a runner's up consolation prize. Thirdly, I motion that everybody go to the park and feed a cracker to a duck, not a swan, or a goose, a duck.

Ah, reading things has its benifits. Only now, too late, do I see that the thread's subtitle is "Sword Meeting". I rather liked the first one, particularly the lore it gave, so I'm very much hoping this one is similarly informative. And awesome :P

It won't be in the style of either. The "Sword Meeting" insert was just a shorthand for "a fight shall occur".

Currently, the story is tracking, for good or ill, in the presentation of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Only without the vampires because vampires are retarded.

Oh boy, parts of Washington would be forever removed if that happens, especially if Pelinal accidentally mistakes certain groups of teenagers as vampires.

Sounds awesome :goodjob:

I loved Dracula, too. I got to read it for the first time in the tower of a castle on a rainy night all alone and by candlelight. Got so spooked that it ended up being a full read through.

Doesn't mean that the most famous nosferatu can't brush away his ill-wrought progeny like an old punk rock lion.

And, no, I wasn't part of the crew that added vamps to TES. They were there from Like Forever, and Uncle Ken kept them through into Morrowind. That's fine, I get it, people get silly boners for vamps, in the same way I get the magic gigglies from hobo slang. S'fine, s'fine, just don't get them overwrought emos close to me or I'll start handing out the Wolf Tickets*.

Especially the overwrought southern ones, and my ass grew up in the Deep South, where true gothic was found in circus water*, not the antebellum sweat of some fake-assed accent.

*Look up them there terms and YOU TOO will learn to love hobo slang.

If you aren't a fan of vamps in TES, why don't you write something in the future making them cool?

Or at least come up with a new "insane-vampire-hunter-arine". When you can't convince them, just out-lore them :P

Hehe, oh, the memories of five weeks ago.

Since you asked...

I had the idea to fan-retcon Cyrodiil's vampires with the progeney of the Tsaesci and humans. They're born with regenerative tissue and without genetallia, so their race make excellent eunuchs, hostages and envoys. The people are awed by their masculine beauty, but fearful of their skin molting, snake-talk, fangs, and special offices in government. They're already similar to vampires, especially in how the citizens emulate their skin color and fashions. Anyway, it wasn't difficult to correlate xenophobia for the Tsaesci invader with the myth of nocturnal blood drinkers. Just sayin'...

Yeah, but if Pelinal happens to go BSI anywhere, that area is gone, and everyone around him is toast (mer, man, and vampire alike)
