That may be the very reason there is no FG chapter in the IC: Too much demand, not enough members. If there were too many Noble and politicians demanding FG protection, FG members would have to be pulled from other guild halls to do it all. Then the people of the other towns would complain to their counts/countesses. They, in turn, would begin to pressure the Elder Council and it would turn into a huge political mess. On the other hand, if the FG didn't provide all the desired protection in the IC, the nobles and politicians there would raise a political poo storm. Either way, the FG's Imperial Charter would likely be revoked for causing so much political chaos.

Just a theory. :shrug:

I think Vilena Donton would be willing to pull members from other guild halls to the IC, I mean, look at how many members Bravil and Skingrad have, and then look at their activity.
I doubt it would be merely an oversight either, what with the IC being the capital, and the FG being one of the mot important guilds.
I guess Bethesda are the only ones with the answer,

Why do you say that. I see no indication that the Mages Guild is interested in money, aside from normal charges like spells, alchemy stuff, and some training. They seem more interested in learning about the arcane.

I still think the FG is not in the IC due to possible conflicts with the Legion.

Mages Guild. I honestly think most mages (like my mystic archer) don't care about money. I think that happens when you can pick a few flowers and turn them into gold. Or snag a mudcrab's soul and toss it in the altar with a cheap copper ring and make 500% profit. Why would a guild of mages worry or care about money?

Fighters Guild. I believe not having a chapter in the IC is just plain and simply a big oversight.

in oblivion's fg storyline they are running out of jobs and cash, so maybe it makes since, think about property values would be to build a chapter inside the city
