Fighters guild issue.

Post » Mon Jul 18, 2011 12:25 pm

I got the "Egg poachers" quest and went down to the mine. Killed both poachers. Went back to the guild and the Steward went "Are they dead yet"

Is something not configured right.

Is there a mod that could be breaking the quest...cos when I fight them, once they hit a certain HP level they attempt to flee...

Be sure that you killed the correct people. (Sevilo Othan and Daynila Valas)
You should have though, since they are the only two people who will attack you in the mine.
And make sure you're reporting to Eydis Fire-Eye.

Some NPCs flee when they loose enough HP and you're at a higher level than they are, so that aspect is normal.

None of your mods look like they would be the problem, but you never known for sure of course, unless you systematically check.

Yep.

By Default? I was level 1.

I do have my doubts, I have a few wildlife mods in there. I remember one mod that caused this problem 2 years ago. I posted it here. I came back to see if the thread was still in the archives and couldn't find it. It has to be a mod that governs behavior. Cos in the default Morrowind, they'd've fought to death.

Hmm, maybe it's possible to pin down the problem a bit more. Would you post some console info for us? If you open your console and type

GetDeadCount, "Sevilo Othan"

and

GetDeadCount, "Daynila Valas"

then post the numbers it gives. It should be 1 for each.
