Fighting Deathclaws needs a reward other than survival

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 12:14 am

I know there are a few others who have Deathclaw attacks totally in check ... they are just a minor inconvenience taking about 16 STIMS or so (after the attack is exterminated) ... with all my dwellers at the top of the vault being fully developed, at maximum level, and well armed I get no benefit from successfully fighting them off (beyond survival) and there is no challenge to fighting them ... maybe in the next patch, if they aren't NERFed for the high end vaults, they could drop legendary weapons every 10th attack or 20th attack or something ... realistically that is all I have left at this point ... trying to find the 39 weapons I am missing and the 15 outfits

The things that attack you and steal stuff should give it back if you kill them and they should drop loot.

You can eat meat from the animals in Fallout and humanoids that you kill in Fallout drop weapons and armor.

It's pretty stupid that everything steals from you but you get nothing back when you win...

The stuff raiders steal.... where does it go when you kill them?

pft, I'm not even going to DL the update the way you guys are talking! Not until I finish maxing out all 200 of my dwellers, that is. ;)

Especially since there is, apparently, zero incentive to get the update. Nothing but negative.

That's probably a good idea ... I had been playing since the first release at E3 and had completely maxed my dwellers in stats and had them pretty well armed (no weapons with less than 10 min damage) ... the new patch had no negative impact on me (I had to move some dwellers around to get my strong ones on the top but no real impact other than that) and I was able to benefit from the positives (more stable and less crashy for large vaults) ... I now have 55 explorers grinding away trying to find the 15 outfits and 39 weapons I am missing for full coverage

I don't know. Watching some raiders slam into my deathclaw defense seems reward enough.

Just don't blink or you will miss it. :P

To Android users version 1.1 of the game is initial release. To IOS users it is an update.

Chalk me up as another who refuses to update his game. My opinion is if it ain't broke, don't try fixing it...and so far, my game ain't broke.

The game is meant to be fun, and at the moment it is just that, fun. From what I've read so far, with the latest update, it has ceased to be that. No thank you, I'll stick to the unpatched version until Beth quits breaking their games by patching them.

I agree that there needs to be a reward, The amount of exp given is a joke... besides the fact that only the people who get exp are the ones in the room where deathclaws finally die...

My proposed fix:

  1. increase the deathclaw EXP

  2. make all defenders get EXP

  3. add a loot reward also

Yes. I refuse to do auto updates to...anything lol. I let other people jump in the pool first (if possible) to see what happens before I hop in.

This time, I see a lot of blood in the water so I think I'll just sit back in my chair and work on my tan.

GL in there!

Hide sight is 20/20... If I knew what I know now, I would not have take the patch either. However, I took the patch, vicously attacked by DC which killed many Dwellers AND my enjoyment of the game. I have since put up a defence that ties up 10 of my best Dwellers/gear/weapons just in the off chance of having a DC attack. This is very irritating. Don't take the update until they fix this.

Something needs to be done with the DC... only high level vaults can take them.
