I'm confused about the gold value of filled soul gems. The UESP says the value of a filled gem is the value of the soul multiplied by the value of the unfilled gem, but in-game it seems like they're actually added together. With BTB's mod, petty gems are worth 5 gold. A mudcrab soul value is 5, and the gold value of a petty gem with a mudcrab soul in it is 10, not 25. A lesser gem with a nixhound is worth 30.

Is the UESP wrong, or am I missing something?

UESP is correct. Take the soul of Almalexia (1500) and Azura's Star (5000) and you'll have a charged soul gem worth 7,500,000 gp.

I'm not sure what BTB has done to modify this or if it's even the culprit.

If you're using mods which alter values/prices/etc, then obviously the info on the wiki is going to be inaccurate for your game.

Nothing in the mod explains the values being added together instead of multiplied.

I finally realized that the weird values are from the Morrowind Code Patch. This is the second time in like week that I've asked about something without considering the MCP. Now I have to figure out what formula it's using.
