Final boss...

Mods: Posted in wong section could you move? (Sorry! :/ )

ENDGAME SPOILERS.

Im playing on Master.

After countless hours I get ready for the final showdown with Alduin, the most powerful dragon alive! The one destined to END THE VERY WORLD!

So what happens? I get 3 sovngarde heroes with me and they zerg in while I shoot a few arrows. Dead in under 30 seconds... lol...

Most downer moment in my 15 years of gaming. That insane buildup only to kill him like any other dragon.

After he dies you dont get any loot or artifacts, but just get sent back to the world with a pat on your back like if nothing happened.

Anyone else found the end extremely unsatisfying and anticlimactic?

I just thought the ending was as anti climatical as the guild endings.

The final battle could've been better, but the overall end with Sovngarde was good.

The end when you are in Sovngarde is good, but they could've put more effort into making a EPIC ending.

I literally just finished it. I though fighting my first elder dragon was harder. No wonder some dragons started to rebel and question Alduin's leadership... a mudcrabs thu'um is greater than his.

Your toughest fight with Alduin is atop the Throat of the World. The Sovngarde battle is just to place a mystical ending to what you've really already achieved.

Did you know? If you have completed other major guild quests (such as the Dark Brotherhood) you are given different options at the ending when you speak to the Sovngarde 'gate guy'.

Personally I find the game itself to be epic. Everything about it when all taken in at once is a greater feeling then killing Alduin and that's all I care about. I've been playing many hours after completing the main quest. I love that it feels like there's a whole country to explore as the hero as opposed to the story ending as one.

Yeah it was pretty lame, I just shouted him down and it almost died on just 1 dual wield power attack. Soon after finishing the MQ an elder dragon attacked and it was way harder than Alduin

The only good part of the mainquest to me was when all the dragons gathered at the end, and it actually made me kinda teary eyed.. other then that the mainstory did feel shallow, and dragon seemed weaker then alot of the general population of skyrim.. the valikar vampires or what ever they are called, could easily have soloed 4-5 dragons at once..

For the love of Shor, you guys, you actually found Sovngarde while you were still alive, you got to see and talk to all of these awesome Nord legends like Ysgramor, you got to fight alongside the three Nord warriors that banished Alduin the first time and help them finish the job with you, and you destroyed the Dragon God of TIme's physical manifestation in Mundus in a crazy battle and you get to see him freaking explode in a giant firey death! I mean, sure, you didn't have to rip your own heart out to defeat Alduin and you didn't mantle Shor, but whatever, that was still a really epic ending.
