Now, I realize that I am as much or more to blame for this than the game designers. I'm one of those guys that doesn't like games to be frustrating. For me, Dead Money was frustrating. That darned bomb collar was brutal. I know many of you enjoyed the level of intensity the bomb collar added to your experience. I respect that. I just didn't share that enjoyment.
That being said, I was impressed by the story and the characters. I liked how the game made me empathize with Dog/God while simultaneously making me want to bust his [censored]. I liked meeting Christine and realizing she was the same girl Veronica had fallen in love with, the same girl who had left a pretty sweet sniper rifle in the Big Empty. I liked how Dean Domino's rich baritone voice seemed to rumble and purr all at once. I liked that he was the same guy (well, almost the same) that I had seen on countless posters during load screens. I liked hating Elijah. The fact that I had walked in his footsteps in Big MT only made it all the more chilling when I woke up with a Yangtze collar around my neck.
I loved the Vera/Sinclair/Domino storyline and how it unfolded little by little throughout the DLC.
I also like that I can now run around the Mojave with a BAR, baby! A .308 caliber machine gun based--perhaps loosely--on the Browning Automatic Rifle. For a gun nut like me, that is awesome.
The Holorifle is pretty smoking, too.
I am also looking forward to the unlimited Weapon Repair Kits and other assorted goodies I keep reading about that will be available through the vending machine in the Abandoned BOS bunker.
Anyway, just thought I'd share. Take care everyone.
