Finally did it ... Blew up Megaton

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 7:57 pm

Well, I was bored the other day and threw my Fallout 3 disk in the old PS3 and started a character just to blow up Megaton. Wow, it was great, and now I have a nice place to live in Tenpenny Tower. :fallout:

Congratulations mate, you have seen one of the most epic things in the game... If not a tad evil.

Did you make sure to do everyone's quest and slaughter everyone before? More profitable.

That's why I haven't done it...even though it's a game. Not sure what that says about me, to be honest.

Refuse to do it on principle. Pretty impressive feat for a game. :P

Lol, I didn't do it till like my 6th character either. No matter what I could never sustain an evil character.

No giant atomic bomb in the center :P I have these feelings too. Only blew up Megaton once to see what it was like. I like good characters better.

Don't you have to go back to Megaton first?

I was never impressed with the studio apartment Tenpenny provides you with. For blowing up Megaton your provided with the worst residence in the whole tower which I think may actually have less living space then the Megaton house.

Plus the walls need new wallpaper. He sells the place too high.

I know its common knowledge but this thread should technically be in cheats hints and spoilers.

I like how everything is well spaced out, though, whereas with Megaton unless you avoid buying a theme you're liable to get stuck. Even without themes it's hard to sleep in that bed without Fawkes and Dogmeat occasionally blocking my way out of that room. The layout of the containers in Tenpenny isn't as nice, though - putting all those junk into a safe is a bit surreal - wish they had a locker or tool cabinet or toolbox near where the workbench goes.

In general I do prefer the Megaton house - it's more homey. I think the kitchen and fridge makes the difference. With Tenpenny I don't know where to store my food.

I prefer the Megaton house as well. More room to make displays, and also less loading screens to actually get to your place, as opposed to TPT. The explosion looks especially wonderful at night.

Not even I, a humble servant of the Enclave, like blowing up Megaton. It's just too overkill to me.
If I want the Wastelanders dead, I give them FEV-spiced water. Otherwise I need them as work force, as perceived by the revered St. Colonel Autumn.

Why did you blow up Megaton its the best city in the game (i mean its the one i like most) did you not see that great planet of the apes reference i dont mind being evil i just like Megaton probably since i started with FO3(ive played the rest now) and megaton was my first city but i will never blow it up... again (i saved right before i blew it up just to see what it was like then i reloaded my game so its still there)
