Buttons!

I have, for the longest time, tried to to figure out why buttons are on different sides of a garment. Men, usually have buttons on the right side of the garment while women usually have them on the left side. It is not like women have any more chance to be left handed, or anything, so I oft wondered about this phenomena... (OK. Not really a phenomena, but strangeness )

UNDRESSING! That is the answer! When a man undresses a woman (or vice versa), the buttons are on the side their partner is used to!

And how long have you been researching this? LOL

Googling suggests it's because wealthy men used to dress themselves (because we had our [censored] together) whereas women needed 12 servants, five yards of lace and a whalebone shoehorn to get into their clothes, so it had to be the side the person doing the dressing found easiest.

six would be so much more complicated if we had to play half naked twister to get our shirts off.

Or we would just undress ourselves.

Hmm, I never noticed any of my garments to have those buttons. I would expect it less now that I only have t-shirts that you buy in a pack, much easier to undress.

I prefer a T-Shirt and some sort of cargo pants with belt, with tightly tied shoelaces.
