I bought Fallout 3 a while back, but never got too far. After being given scientific innuendos on a test & killed by giant fire-breathing ants, I put it down & never really picked it back up. Now Fallout 4 has been announced, and I'm feeling the hype of a new Bethesda game, so I went back and finished it.
And [censored] it, I was caught off guard. Since it was my first playthrough, I was really just focusing on the Main Quest. Little did I know, right when things start to pick up and you get this awesome Super Mutant follower, you're pretty much at the end of the game. But wait, end of the game? That's [censored] right. I was decked out in Tesla Armor with a Plasma Rifle in my hand, and I felt like a badass. I'm following this freaking Titan thing stomping through the Wasteland, blowing stuff up with laser beams. It was awesome. My blood was pumping. Yada yada, this that, then boom, the good Doctor tells me I gotta activate the purifier or else everything is essentially ruined. Aw yeah. My time to shine. The big moment. Bout to get the fame & the loot! I put on this Radioactive Suit I found, pop a Rad-X and I'm ready to get in there. Only taking like 5 radiation per second. Thought I was going to survive. Put in the code then..
Roll [censored] Credits.
End. Character done. Died immediately. Gotta make a new character to explore the other 90% of content.
Really wish I would've read a guide somewhere that told me the game had an actual end. Guess I'm just used to the way TES is done.
svcks man. I have to start a new character if I want to explore, but the game starts off sooooo slow. Anyone got any tips to kick things off faster?
