Finally started playing Fallout 3

Post » Sat May 17, 2014 7:07 pm

Just wanted to say that i am a big fan of Elder Scrolls and with this summer sale and fallout 3 and NV almost free (4 bucks each for the Goty :D ) I started playing Fallout 3 and Wow the game is really great

The Quests at least for now are all being really great, Moira is a little crazy but a fun girl :P

You actually get the recognition, at least in my opinion, after deactivating the Bomb for Megaton, didnt trust that Guy (with Lucien Lachance voice) i was hearing Galaxy News Radio and 3-Dog just started talking about "my dad" being there and for me to stop by that was actually pretty cool!

and i already have 17 hours into the game :)

the only thing i really really didnt like was no Iron Sights, but mods fix everything :D !

Thanks again Bethesda for another awesome game!

I think Fallout 3 is Bethesda's best writing so far. The characters and the stories in Fallout 3, in my opinion, are better written and more engaging than the characters and quests in the Elder Scrolls series.

I don′t think I would like iron sights, but glad you got it sorted out, DDE. You can keep us updated on your progress in the Cheats section where we havehttp://www.gamesas.com/topic/1456098-whats-your-lone-wanderer-up-to-today/:)

Welcome to the wastes! I agree with your thoughts on Fallout 3. There is something about both Oblivion and FO3 that will always be special to those who truly appreciate these games. There was a 'fun' aspect that I feel has been lost during the making of Fallout NV and Skyrim (yes I know Obsidian made NV, but it is the only reference standard we have). The scale of FO3 is the most pleasing thing, it seems just the right size to make exploring so enjoyable.

It was a shame there was no iron sights at the time, but I really love playing out the first half of combat in Vats and there jump to real time shooting, so I don't really notice that it is missing. Don't forget to hunt down all the unique weapons in the game. That is something that is far better than ES.

Holy ****-ing ****. 4 bucks each? I got New Vegas Ultimate Ed. (even through I already played thru it 4 times on XBOX just for graphics and mods and my new beast PC) for 11 euros on Steam Summer Sale. WHAT? By the way, welcome to this great post-apolyptic immense world filled with emotion and great stories, characters and locations. I recommend playing F1 and 2 just if you start liking the story and want to learn more about everything, there's a lot of relationship beetween games, especially F1, F2 and New Vegas.

Tip;

  • ''When the Raiders come, there's no shame in locking the door, barricading the window and cowering under the nearest bed. So run, hide or fight if ya' got the balls and the guns; but for God's sake, don't go waving the white flag - they'll only strangle you with it...''

and for your Hint Raider′s aren′t that bad, but i do hate the ones with Rocket launchers :o

yeah i know what you mean about the iron sights, but i play Battlefield, Call of duty (yes i do play COD), Metro,And anothers, Alot Others FPS′s, so that′s why i really miss the Iron Sights

if ur wanting the first and second one, id advice buying them from gog.com. Reason is if ya got wins7 or above and maybe even vista, the steam veraions u would have to find epatches for the game so its not all rainbowy statie. Gog.com already has the games rdy for ur system and rdy to go. Steam for the older games, ull have to do some legwork.

Also, welcome to the wasteland. Fo3 is a great game but also try out the others as well like fonv and the originals. Its a fantastic series :)

Although i think Fallout 3 is better then FONV, there are certain features in FONV that i like more. The DLC's from Fallout 3 are also much better then the FONV ones.

Happy hunting bro. :tops:

Most of which can be added to the game, using mods. Provided of course you're playing it on a PC.
