Finally the trailer

Post » Tue Jul 12, 2011 3:43 pm

Well this is what Fallout is, this isnt the Book of Eli video game...

If you think Fallout is all about being gritty and serious, your horribly mistaken.

Fallout has it's lulzy moments too, I don't mind that, what I mind is if it's "too" lulzy.
Get it? FNV, FO1, FO2 (despite what others think) and even FO3 wasn't this lulzy.
To have some comedy in Fallout is fine, going South Park with it just feels wrong imo.

Don't jump to conclusions and keep and open mind and you might just enjoy it.

Well of course I'm gonna give it a try and keep an open mind but it doesn't give me the best of hopes seeing as how the trailer turned out to be more Borderlands than Fallout.

I never saw it to be honest.
I know a lot o people say that Fallout 2 had way too over the top lulz but I never saw that much really.
Maybe I just didn't get the references.

But come on, this is a DLC, and it has from the trailer, roboscorpions, brain bots that act like comic book characters, a skeleton in a space suit, a tranquility lane without the gray tint, a mini securitron that wants mugs, a toaster that wants to dominate the world, light switches which make sixual innuendos, a TRON suit, more robodogs and blue neon crap all over the place.

And that's from a DLC's content, if we compare size wise it'd be like one town from FO2, maybe Klamath, with that many 'over the top lulz'.
And like I said, I never saw "that" much over the top lulz in Fallout 2, so from my perspective, no, Fallout 2 did not have that much ridiculousness, and if it did it was more subtle with it while OWB is more 'in your face' with it.

Is it wrong that your description got me all tingly but i kinda see what you mean and i didn't see all this wacky stuff in fo2 either although i'm only just halfway through so ughh.

This DLC is just screaming Humor and I'm not sure if that's good or bad. It does look good though and will probably be fun to play.

Visit Broken Hills, there's a talking spore plant named Seymour and a radscorpion that can play chess, both owned by a mad scientist.

If borderland's was this it would have been fun...
And I think that this is highconcentration of Lulz, it will be more spaced in the DLC.
Also, I think Harry's "I'm gonna take you to the Lou!" was more immature humor than this funny zainyness =P

After watching the OWB trailer a few times, then watching the Dead Money and Honest Hearts trailers again, this has to be the best trailer they have done for the New Vegas DLCs so far.

Something I noticed:

At :22, and :55-1:00 that little town square looks similar to Tranquility Lane from FO3. Could the research at Big Mtn. have led to the creation of the Tranquility Lane simulator in Vault 112?

Did anyone else hear Maurice LaMarche as the two "good guy" brain jar screen guys, and Billy West as Mobius?

Maurice LaMarche? I didn't recognize his voice anywhere. Granted LaMarche is a pretty versatile voice actor, so I could be wrong.

(Claps Hands)

Well Done, Well Done Indeed.

The Voice Actors are a LOT better than the others, brilliant job

I am going to purchase it the instant it hits the marketplace

I reckon the DLC is gonna be more serious than the trailer, but if not, who cares

F***** Awesome either way

Jason Bergman and the Toaster shall Conquer the world!

Would you rather they all follow the same theme ?
