Find It, Don't Use It

Hail modders!

Like in the beginning of the Main Quest where Jauffre unlocks his chest for you, I have an NPC who walks to a trap door on a find package and proceeds to unlock it and then use it. I just want him to unlock it then start convo. Is there a way to get him to find the door and unlock it, without actually using it and leaving the cell?

Any help here would be appreciated :facepalm:

You might have to dummy it.

Make a really tiny invisible trapdoor near it (above or below), and then run the package to that door. Have a small trigger zone around the door so that when he walks over to it the script unlocks the door.

It would be even easier if and OnActivate script runs on the dummy door when he uses it, then you can unlock the door and disable the dummy. But Im not sure if the onactivate will pick up this action.

I kind of suspected as much, but was hoping there was some easier solution I didn't know of. Thanks mate! :wave:
