Find Red Eagle's Sword - Quest magically appeared...?

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 4:25 pm

Hey,

Has this happened to anyone? I was exploring a cabin near Ivarstead, slept and read a few books on the bookshelf and all of the sudden this new objective magically appears: "FIND RED EAGLES SWORD" what the hell?
I re-read the books and no reference to this quest or nothing. Went to the Skyrim wiki and your suppose to get it reading "The Legend of the Red Eagle", but the book isn′t there. Is it possible that I read the book in dragonsreach for example and only now the quest appears? Anyway, im loving the game, taking it slow, and it's been one of the greatest gaming experiences ive ever had even if it has these annoying little bugs.

You will run into several of these quests, equally baffling by the randomness.

The book just compelled you to WANT to find some rusty sword. Creepy.

You read the book...

Did you even read his post? He said the book wasn't there, hence the question.

Maybe you accidentaly picked it up and it's in your inventory now? Or it fell on the floor and you kicked it into some dark corner. Or maybe it's just a weird bug.

You can also gain quests by overhearing NPC conversations.

Only 900? Really? Then why aren't they called the 900 or something steps?

Every time you read the book this quest seems to reappear.
