I find this very funny.

Ok, so you know how alot of people think this is an unfinished game? Here's what I think in my personal opinion. Look at New Vegas. For about 6-9 days it was buggy as all hell, freezes, major lag, and enemy spawn was terrible, now it's an amazing game like they said it would be, why did it svck and was it buggy in the beginning? BECAUSE IT HAD JUST COME OUT!!!! Seriously people, when games first come out, there are tons of bugs that the developers didn't have time to fix if they wanted to meet their deadline. That's what patches and updates (if they're the same thing  ) are for! Sorry if I sound like a really devoted fan or a troll, this just really bothers me.

I get exactly what you are saying. While it is very possible that many of the issues present in the game as of right now will probably be addressed sometime in the near future, it doesn't change the fact that with the ease of access to the internet and patches nowadays, developers and publishers alike find it ok to leave keep known issues in the game as of launch, knowing that they can simply fix them down the road. While it does help keep deadlines, it means that early adopters of the game are sometimes purchasing an unfinished product. Just because things can be fixed later, that doesn't mean they shouldn't be addressed before release. That is just the way that I look at things.

This. The OP is contradicting himself, saying that the game is not "unfinished" and then saying that SD rushed through development to meet a deadline with the mindset that they could just patch it later, ergo making it unfinished. I love the game, but it is not yet raising my level of respect for SD.

No offense but, I think you misunderstood me. I never said it wasn't an unfinished game, believe me I have problems to, but those don't get in the way of this making one of the best games I've personally played in a long time.

I agree 100%. The AI and lag will be fixed eventually. I think it's even funnier that people are like "the gernades don't kill" and "the guns are too weak" and "theres no TDM"........

Well considering SD has said several times the game was finished early last year, and the rest of the time has been polish, this release has been pretty lack luster.

I'm a little upset, and very happy I got the game for $37.50 instead of the $50 I had it pre-ordered for beforehand.

The game is not a finished product in the eyes of a gamer. They can rant and rave both on the timeline and whatnot.....simple fact is they did this to themselves. NO beta to test stress levels on the game and systems and the over hyped it got to and from the people that were actually following the game on here.

Remember about 2 weeks ago people were posting this and showing that. Loving this and 'creating' the ingame character they wanted to play as? Yep, that is all been pushed to the side and ALOT of those people feel mislead.

Just saying. This game is NOT the game changer or Revolution that it was saying it was. It's a step toward that, but it feels more like a BETA to a game that should be released with 4x the amount of storyline and game play and customization it was hyping. Watch all the previous footage....they cut some stuff that seemed cool for dated menus. Remember the Character Custimization video? That looked 1,000x better then the finished or 'polished' product.

I think it's pretty funny how splash damage bumbed up the release date and now they have to fix all of these technical problems. Personally, because i have a ps3, im not planning to buy the game until ps3 network is fixed and brink gets a patch, but based on all of these discussions on how "unrefined" brink is i think SD should have done a little more testing before they released this game.

I understand what your are saying but also take it this way. You buy a car and come to find out it has no brakes, they just decided to put it on the lot knowing in the future they could add brakes. Sure they can make this game flawless in time but they also could of just push back the deadline to make sure everything ran fine for release day.

This is how I feel.

A game should be released in prime condition. Consumers shouldn't have to patch it basically the day of release.

Exactly......this is why a DEMO should be released by companies wanting to actually please a consumer. How can you test something with the creators playing it and a few test subjects that are 'hand-picked'?

In the end a biased opinion makes for a $hitty release. Point in case.......

When you work on a game 2 years, and you annonce a release, you can't complain that your customers are expecting a finished and completed game...

Makes Bethesda a bad name.

They're gonna fix it soon and fix it well. Bad launch, bad reviews. Developers, remove bugs before launch; get better publicity! Also, just nice to have no bugs on release.

Hey at least not as bad as [censored]in' Activision. Ugh, God shoot me. This is the CoD nerd coming out but, I was pissed at Black Ops when it first came out. It's like the Xbox owners of this, I hear they're laggin' pretty badly

No one knows what the devs think so don't go screaming if you notice a few bugs
Let's use logic shall we?
What we are given: the release date was forwarded one week
What we can deduce from the following information talking about the subject: these problems were unforeseen, meaning they must have thought the game was done.
Counter THAT!

THANK YOU. Same with SOCOM: Confrontation, which supposedly was a total mess at release, worse than Brink. I wasn't around for release but I picked it up shortly after the Cold Front DLC, and for that period it was a GREAT game, there was nothing bad to be said about it at all (except the SOCOM vets going "ITZ NOT A TR00 SOCOM GAYM"). Though nowadays it's full of hackers.

WTF is all this PATIENTS crap? It's not our fault they produced a game that was UNFINISHED. They had TONS of time and resources (demos could have been handed out to load test) and they choose to sit on the game.

It's not leg humping you guys are doing, but the mindset that we, the gamers, should be patient on a game that is released unfinished to be "FIXED" is the problem with the gaming society. COD4 didn't need this type of fixing.....BFBC2 didn't need this type of fixing......Gears did NOT need this type of fixing. This game is in need of CONTENT and POLISHING.

THE AI is horrid. That should be OBVIOUS even when playing SP in the office. The bots are horrible teammates. Revive me, don't just stare at me with a white cross.......the damn guy isn't even enroute and he's standing 5m from me.

PERIOD.
