In the part where you are supposed to find the virus when it jumps, is there a surefire way, or is it just timing? I'm tired of trying!!!!!

It's random where the virus will pop up, so it can take some time to do that quest.
If you have a very high science skill (80+ at least, iirc), you can make it a bit easier.

Are some of your terminals saying anything about being "partitioned"? ....if so, you may be screwed.

Partitioning the terminal is what you are trying to accomplish.

It is virtually impossible to isolate the virus in three terminals on one run through. You will be lucky to get one terminal each try. (Without cheating)

If you have a Science Skill of =>70 you can pass a speech check that will let you trap (or 'partition') the virus to each terminal as you find it.

Once you isolate the virus on one terminal by 'partitioning' it, that terminal is removed from the group. You now have one less terminal to search. If you have time, go for another. Else, get them your next time through. If you find one of the other two with the virus, partition that one. then if you have time get the third. If not, start again. Two terminals are out and you look amongst the remaining ones for the final iteration of the virus.
