Finding a vacuum cleaner

Post » Tue May 25, 2010 10:04 am

Okay so here's the thing. I'm trying to make the "Rock-It Launcher" weapon and I've already blown up megaton and I'm in the Jefferson Memorial. So I'm curious guys besides Craterside Supply in Megaton where can I find a vacuum cleaner?

They're all over the place, the problem is you run into them and don't pick them up, and when you need them you forget where the last one you saw was.

I would check either maintenance style areas, like metros, or pre-war houses, like the ones in minefield. Prolly you're best bets. Nowhere specific comes to mind.

Try the shot 'Lucky's' by Tenpenny Tower. It has near enough all the misc items needed for the crafted weapons.

If that fails, just look around pre-war houses; you'll find one soon enough.

There's both pressure cookers and vacuum cleaners in Minefield. Along with a lot of other custom weapon components.

Yeah! It definitely svcks! when you don't need it, you can easily find it. When you need it, you CAN'T! But now I know where I can find one so there isn't a problem :celebration:

the rocket launcher isn't that great but it is a bit fun to use so just keep exploring and you'll find plenty but the others told you some places to look, chriso said try lucky's near tenpenny tower and i'm pretty sure you'll find one or two there, that place has pretty much a little of everything and also minefield, so whichever place you're closest to.

I love the Rock-It launcher! I mean, you run out of ammo, and you can turn anything handy into more. I like scorched books, myself; it has a "pen is mightier than the sword" sort of vibe to it.

Only thing I wonder is if you can get a Big Guns adept companion to use it... and if they can, will they gather their own ammo, or do you have to supply them.

Exactly!! The Rock-It Launcher is a weapon where ammo is never scarce and VERY easy to find!!! Finally someone who has the same view on it as me!

I love my launcher! I think if you give a follower a different weapon you have to supply them with ammo. And as far as parts most of the old neighborhoods have a lot of stuff.

I just use all and any of the random junk I can find haha then I can take people down. With the Rock-It Launcher I feel almost unstoppable *evil laugh*

If you go to the National Archives, go to the main entrance with the tall stairs, and at the top of the stairs, inch around that small border to get to a corner on the side of the building, there is a vaccuum cleaner there.
