Finished Arena

Post » Sat Jun 23, 2012 9:35 am

Finished Arena late last night, have to say that the Imperial dungeon was the hardest one, dagoth ur was surprisingly easy. Gave this game a shot a few months ago, but its not the first time. some years back i had made it all the way to mirkwood in Black Marsh before my computer broke, so it was good to finally finish it. The original plan was to move on to Daggerfall, but for some reason i can't stop playing :P anyway, this game is great, and that comes from someone who started out with Oblivion. I highly recommend it to everyone who is in any doubt about it and i hope more people on this forum will give it a shot. thank you.

well thank you, let's hope you'll make the club one of these days, you certainly looks like a hardcoe elder scrolls player, so it looks promising :) i'm sure that after you complete the first dungeon and get the first peace of the staff, things will feel a lot easier.

You need DOSBox, after that you need to install the game on DOS. it isnt that hard. of course there is an alternative to this, but we are not allowed to talk about it here :)

I played again last night. Figured out how to equip stuff and I am now level two. But I cannot seem to find that damn shift gate.

when playing these games you always want to have the map of the current dungeon next to you, that's what UESP is good for, just look it up there and use it to progress through the levels

I am starting to realize that. I just printed out the Imperial Dungeon. I like paper better. We shall see tonight.

That's highly debatable.

The game has its own map that fills out as you go through places. Press m to open it up. Shift-m will allow you to fast travel when outside.

yes, but as you said, it fills out as you explore, by the time you have explored the entire dungeon map you will already be low on 50 health potions and contracted some kind of disease :P using an already fleshed out map you can easily plan the fastest route to your destination
