...And...wow...
I had played Dead Money before, but I had just rushed to finish it all before. When I got the Ultimate Edition for my PC (I had only played it on Xbox, before) I decided to play all the DLCs in order beginning with Dead Money...
But never before had I taken my time...listen to the story and my companions. Never had I tried to read every single terminal I could. Never before had a story sent so many chills up my spine when I finished it. I mean, listening to Vera's goodbye as you left to the Mojave I was shocked and remembered everything I had gone through...
I honestly think that Dead Money would work great probably as a stand alone story in a game or a book. I mean, yeah, it would require some changes to the backstory and such but I still think this would look great on the big screen in a movie or something. And trapping Elijah in the vault and helping Christine and Dean and Dog/God. The Ghost People, who I wished we could have seen more of and listen to more of their backstory.
I know that this DLC gets a lot of hate, but I really don't understand it. I really did love that "survival horror" element that they were going for. And the story with Dean and Vera and Sinclair and everyone else in the Villa. I think this probably has the best story in all the DLCs, but now I need to take my time with all the other DLCs and see what else awaits me in the other stories.
Now I really regret rushing this entire DLC. But now I'm happy that I took my time now and went through it...
