So, I finished Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel...

For sure it's not Fallout 1 and 2, it doesn't compare in terms of pleasure a good game and a cult game. But it still remains a Fallout game, so one good game.

Andaius, you are truly open minded person, I appreciate this quality =).

vault dweller96, you can buy used or even unused in this time on internet.

Talonfire, have you tried ? I assure you it's a very good game as I have explained previously ( http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1039037&st=20&start=20 - Last Reply)

Yes I've played it, and I hated it... I don't see why this should come as a surprise since it's almost universally reviled.

I've never tried it, for a long while I never knew it existed, I look at some vids and I knew I wouldn't like it either. I guess I have one way that I picture a Fallout game and everything else fallout is measured by it.

If you very don't like the Action-RPG genre, it's normal that you don't like.

Though personally, I think a true fan is capable of anything accept and the Fallout Universe is my favorite (I also like large universe such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Half-Life etc ...)

And this game less distorts the Fallout universe that has thought, sometimes less than Fallout 3 (although I find that this does not alter the universe but the appearance of aliens was fair.)

The design of the Secret Vault for example, is excellent. Robot, furniture, they even thought of putting floppies instead of CDs.

I tried to overlook the lore issues, and just take it on it's own merits. But the other problem I had is that I'd also played Dark Alliance and Bard's Tale, which both used the same engine as Brotherhood of Steel. And personally, I didn't think it even stood up very well compared to the gameplay in those games, either. At best, I thought it was a sub-par action RPG. I would have given Dark Alliance a 3/5, Bard's Tale a 4/5, and Brotherhood of Steel something more like 2.5/5 or something like that.

When you get right down to it, though - I just didn't have fun with it. I thought the gameplay wasn't terribly polished, found it overly annoying at times (camera issues, and being shot by enemies off-screen,) and lacking any real "heart" or passion. Shovelware, in other words... :)
