Finished in Vault 34

I think New Vegas is genius but I died in 34. I got radiation poisoning whilst looking for the computer terminal to clear the water. Both my quick save and auto save gives me about 10 secs before I die. I have no aid left in order to subside the radiation in to find my way to the utility room in the Armouries. I love the game but have never known a title that actually allows for you not to complete. Has anybody else had simular experiences? There is literally no way now for me to complete this game. Even if I did not have serious radiation poisoning I doubt I good navigate this maze.

Did you even know that is was radioactive and you still went there without aid? That's your problem as you should know these things

That is one of the reasons why it's good to not rely only on auto- and quicksaves. Never been stuck like that myself, though. There are caches of RadAway in the vault, maybe you can locate them and make a narrow escape. Also it helps to constantly have a Rad-X on while in the Vault, and there is a dead NCR trooper near the entrance of the vault who has a Radiation Suit.

I don't use auto/quick saves. They take up too much memory and I always remember to save.

I know I shouldnt rely on quick saves but we all rely on auto-saves, every time we complete a mission or go through a door. There is no other way to progress. As I previously said Im not complaining just stating whats happened. When I played RDR I had some frustrating times but could always progress say like an hour before going to work. I guess FNV was just too big for me considering I dont always have much time to play let alone think of stratergies before starting.

You should always create a hard save before entering caves, vaults, or buildings. Not only that, but you should also have multiple save slots for each character to avoid situations like this. I think it's a little bizarre that you wouldn't have that in place for such a large game.

hard saving is: instead of waiting. or autosaving after walking through a door, you would pause the game and click on save, then make a new save you can start from incase you get trapped in certain places, i.e. vault 34

useful if you want to try new approaches to certain quests too
