Finishing animations for H2H

Like the tittle says why would there be finishing animations for hand to hand if it isnt a weapons class, and furthermore, what is damage based off of if there is no 'strength' (without perks that is)

Like magic, there are no finishers for hand to hand. Only weapons have them.

That's not necessarily true. I killed some bandit with my fists once and it prompted a kill scene. Grabbed him by the head with both hands and slammed my knee into his face. Pretty epic and surprising really.

Heavy armor has a skill that makes your gauntlets' armor rating into pure hand to hand damage. And that can be further increased with enchanting fortifications.

I assume the damage is on a flat amount for everyone (but khajiits) normally, pointing to why regular fistfights take so long.

There are, I do them all the time on my Khajiit monk.

Khajits have 15 unarmed damage, heavy armor perk makes gauntlets armor rating do unarmed damage. Also you can use enchantments to fortify unarmed. You can get over 300-400+ damage with unarmed I presume, given how powerful you can make daedric gauntlets.

There is a perk that was supposed to make hand2hand viable for the most part.

Sadly it seems broken and is only using base armor of gauntlets and not scaling with armor increase. If it did, it would actually be quite amazing.

I am sad there is still no mod that fixes this.
