Finishing Move Question

I am really excited to see this finishing move system. While it could be silly in many ways I have faith that BGS will pull it off in a visceral and believable way.

However, I got to thinking, in many other games with finishing moves the perspective is usually forced to 3rd person for them. The only game that I have seen do melee finishers in first person in Dark Messiah, and they were done very well. I really hope BGS allow for this, because if it switched the 3rd person that would seriously break my immersion. Some people want to watch their character do cool stuff. I want to be my character doing the cool stuff.

I know Obsidian isn't BGS but I noticed they had an option in New vegas to adjust the type of bullet-time effect you got when making your final kill. You could geta third person effect, a first person effect or no effect. I turned it off completely since it was basically a give away that no more enemies were aggro'd to you. I do hope BGS do something like this for finishers.

I'm pretty sure it's not going to be a forced 3rd person kill, a finishing move could look just as great in 1st person. In FoNV I actually had it tuned on for first person kill, being able to go into slow motion and kill two targets from a sneak attack almost instantly, that was cool though but finishing moves should be slow motioned at all imo.

Go check out the Chronicles of Riddike gameplay on Youtube. Proof that finishers can look at least decent.
