Finishing Moves Reversed

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 8:17 am

Do you guys think the Radiant AI will be smart enough to detect the amount of health your character has left, leaving it open for an enemy perform a finishing move on you? If your answer was yes, do you think it would be a cool addition or would it just piss you off not only because you died but you got owned in the process. IMO, I think it would be cool and more realistic because it'd be very strange to be the only one in Skyrim that knows these wonderful finishing moves. And also if your answer was yes, what kind of enemy(s) would you like to see perform a finishing move on you?

I'd like to see a dragon, giant and a giant spider perform a finishing move on me.

Sure, but ONLY when your health reaches 0, because if you have 15 health left, and your about to heal, and that's within the range of a finishing move being able to be done to you, and you get hit, you are going to get mad.

I voted for them all. If the player can perform finishing moves then enemies should be able to as well. It would make for a more interesting kill screen.

I'm really hoping for this. Especially if non humanoid monsters have unique finishing moves. It would be cool to be burnt to a crisp by a dragon or eaten whole.

That's what I was thinking, or the dragon whips you with his tail and you go flying. And I can see a giant just basically stepping on you, a giant spider spin you in a web really fast and eat you and a wooly mammoth impaling you with his tusks.

Why stop at finishers, why not have'em teabagging your corpse too? ;)

It's rarely going to be seen anyways.. if you are skilled.. But I'd want to spice up the death animation and this is a good way to do it.

Considering that finishing moves sound like they're not actually a special attack you can choose to perform at all but just a special killing animation that is sometimes used when killing an enemy, I see absolutely no reason why enemies shouldn't be able to do it, it makes sense if they could. And I find that dying in games can actually be less frustrating when you get to do it in ways that are fun. I know that sounds weird but I think you get the idea. Basically, if I die in a video game, it's more interesting if I can see myself do it in a variety of different ways, rather than just drop dead after taking one last hit.
