Finishing a quest

Recently I was asked by "Abernathy Farm" to "get rid of" a super mutant threat stemming from Medford Memorial Hospital. I have been there several times already to free hostages so I know the layout of the hospital quite well, however, this time around, I eliminated all visible "greenskins" however, there is still one more that I cannot reach....it seems he appears to be on the roof of the operating theatre, above the operating theatre itself. He is not visible but responds audibly to gun shots and noises in his general direction.... how do I complete the request without being able to "get" the last super mutant?? I tried "seeing" him from the roof of a nearby house but no luck, I think he's stuck in the ceiling and there is no visible way of getting onto the roof of the hospital. Any help?? thanx

Have you tried fast travelling away and back again to see if that resets his position in the building?

Does your compass show that he is above you? The compass should show a red dot and an up or down arrow, or no arrow, to indicate if the enemy is above or below you, or at the same level as you. When you actually see him, there should also be a red marker directly above his head as well. Where is this marker? If this is a clipping error as it seems to be, the red marker could be at an unpredictable place. I once had a quest that that was so bugged that the NPC marker was hovering mid-air above nothing.
