Finishing the main quest as vampire...

Post » Tue Feb 04, 2014 7:26 am

I brought Martin to the Temple of the one and he defeated the the monster to save Tamriel, long cutscene and at the end it goes back into character.

Little did I know, I was out of human blood and suffered damage from the sunlight after the roof of the temple got destroyed :(

So, the cutscene ends and I die.

//edit: I wonder if I can wait, lets say 10 hours, until it becomes dark and then save the city?

that svcks, You could take maybe a potion before you trigger the next cutscene that has health regen for 20 seconds or something? Can you skip the ending cutscene?

That sounds likely to me anyway. Just try it and see :)

I think it's ironic, and rather funny, but I have a weird sense of humor, so don't mind me. :)

I left the temple and noticed you cannot escape the instance and cannot wait either, every door is just a 'wooden door' and the exit to other parts of the imperial city is blocked by the guards.

It was 11:00 am, so I fought the guys off for ~10 hours and then went back into the temple to finish the quest ;)

Before, where I died after the cutscene:

After 10 hours I finished the quest:

Same.

I wouldn't have thought the game would acknowledge that the player is under direct sunlight. Must have been pretty cool to watch anyhow.

I think you might be able to wait once inside the temple(before you speak with Martin and the cutscene starts), although I forget.

Myself, I have a mod installed that removes the sun damage from the game. Normally, I would not mind it, but given that the damage doesn't seem to implicitly require the character's health to become 0 before it kills you, I really don't like that. Perhaps that is lore breaking(since the Vampires in Cyrodiil aren't at all like the Lords in Dawnguard), but I'd rather the damage just not be there, if it can so easily kill me, without much of a chance for recourse on my part.

FYI, the auto save was after he starts praying, if I stay in the temple he will go and do his stuff without me talking to him. I should not rely on Quicksave and Autosave too much, but do custom ones in between.

The sun damage is a very interesting mini game, whenever I see someone sleeping I feed a bit. They all have their schedules to be svcked...

Victory demands sacrifice!

This thread made me chuckle more than it had too, reminds me when one of my characters accidentally ate a poison apple while trying to feed other people poison apples.
