Well, I managed to collect 29 bottles of Quantum, and I had 9 bottles of regular NC. With the turn NC into Q perk, I was so close I could taste it (perish the thought of actually tasting that stuff!). I cheated a bit and used the Wiki to find sa couple of places where I might find that final bottle. The Charnel House and the (bear-like critter with the name I can never spell) caves to the west of the Ch. Spent days wandering around trying to find those caves to no avail. Finally found the Charnel House, but the ruins where the Quantum is supposed to be located just isn't there.

Anyway, so I figured I go back to my house in Megaton and put the bottles in the NC machine before I accidentally drank one. As I was leaving I ran into that settler who is always a nuisance trying to give you something you don't need. I said to myself "Hope it's Nuka Cola". and it was!

So I have that extra bottle. I go back inside and get the other 29 bottles of Q. Go to Girdershade and (all the time wondering, which one should I give them to? I end up giving them to Ronald Lauren simply because his house is the first one I walk into.. It didn't turn out well, and, because I forgot to save, I have to get that final bottle all over again.

Drat. :facepalm:

Learning the need to save constantly, right? I sympathize...

On the other hand, I always have Black Widow, and I send Ronald off to ... well, let's just say that's what he gets for stalking girls, okay?

Well, I guess I could steal a bottle from her. I could take a slight karma hit with no problem (have over 100 fingers). Should I tell Falkes to wait outside?

My collection never gets any bigger, 'cos I keep using them to make Nuka grenades.......so I can't see me finishing off that quest anytime soon.
