I am obviously doing something wrong. I can not finish this quest at all. Here is what I am:

Level 41 - Breton
Destruction Level 100
Magicka max 356 - Health max 310 - Stamina max 200
I am Arch-Mage of College
Apparel - Archmages Robe, Leather boots of dwindling shock, Leather bracers (increases magicka by 26), Morokei, Ring of Extreme Destruction, The Gaulder Amulet

When I enter Skuldafn, the draugr tear me apart. The dragons come down no problem. But I can not take the brunt of the melee attacks from the large swords from the draugr.

I've read a lot online about being able to create a necklace/ring/armor/helmet that will decrease the destruction spells to 0, but I haven't learned that enchantment yet. (Also don't know where to go to learn that enchantment.) Is this the way to go, so that I can throw out a ton of adept/master spells without it costing me anything?

OR do I need to find some way of blocking myself against the melee damage of the draugr?

Your armor rating seems very low.

Leather Boots, Bracers, and Morokei won't get you that far.
