Finite item amounts

Post » Fri Sep 02, 2011 8:33 am

I have a couple of questions for everyone here that has kept up with all the Skyrim news:
1st: Are there many hand placed items/loot?
2nd: Do most chests found in caves/dungeons (anywhere really) have random items, generated depending on the level of the area?
If yes to 2nd question: Do certain items have a finite number that can be randomly generated and can exist in the game world?

Those are my remaining main questions about Skyrim. I know there's a carriage system. I know the level scalling will be much better, but I haven't heard whether or not all bandits will have Daedric armor when we are at a high level. Thanks, for any answers you can give me.

I dont know the answers to either, no one does I think.

But seeing as we can craft (everything?) stuff ourselves, Id say theres almost an infinite ammount of possible items in a gameworld, depending on if ore veins "respawn".

Bandits won't have Daedric. Pete confirmed this in an interview.

Good, good, good and good. Although, I was joking about that (I would hope they wouldn't make that mistake again), it's good to have confirmation that we won't see that again.

If we can craft anything, they could still put a limit on materials. Say Daedric armour requires a special ingredient, unique to the crafting of that armour (the item has no other purpos in the game world), there could be a finite amount of that ingredient in the game world, thus limiting the amount of Daedric one can craft.
