Finnish Pelit Magazine

Post » Mon May 17, 2010 6:22 pm

Today I got newest Pelit magazine and there was 2 page article about skyrim so only few new info there and no new screens.

You can buy houses or you can also kill a houseowner and take his/her house. And this time you can actualy sleep in his/her bed. So no more "You cannot sleep while trespassing".
Quote from Todd Howard:" If you want, you can kill everyone in village, that was "two barreled thing" to us. Everybody begs for that feature but eventually they won't use that. And that's annoying because that takes much of our time. But the feature is now in."

So thats it. Sorry if these were mentioned before

I hope the houses are more impressive than in Oblivion. Going from Morrowind's faction strongholds to Oblivions town homes was a little underwhelming.

I guess no more essential NPC's?
:D

Also the possibility of stealing houses is awesome. I've always loved houses.

How does that work? Do the other NPC's not notice that person X is gone and that you are living there now?

I'm a little confused by this quote. We won't use it? It's annoying?

Yeah, I don't know what that means. Personally, once I completed Morrowind, I went on a killing Spree and killed everyone on the island.

So in the end only I, Ruler of Morrowind, remained.

But who did you rule over if everyone died?

If they put work where killing a quest giver circumvent an entire destroyed village, in addition to cascading sweeping effects on the game that a player will notice, fine i can see why he said that.

Otherwise it's just more PR talk morrowind had a simple notifier if you killed someone important and there was one other way to finish the MQ but generally beyond stopping the mq it did notihing.

And oblivion was modded within several months to include all npc's dying. So im not sure what's up with the "annoyed" stance when there are more pressing features that need attention in comparison to killing everyone.

Just a thing I wondered about the same magazine.

It says that "The player character is a Dragonborn, a nord warrior..."

I haven't been able to confirm anything like that anywhere else and I don't really want to believe it either, but I just want to ask to make sure, is Nord the only playable race in the game, or is it just the usual 'finnish game magazine misunderstanding everything' type of thing?

Just use your head. If it were confurmed that there was only one race, these forums would not be talking about things like trains and atributes.

I also hope there are limits on respawns. The ONE thing that really disappointed me in Morrowind was when I decided, hey, if I kill all the guards at Ft. Moonmoth, I'll have my very own CASTLE. After an hour of baiting single guards with arrows, leading them to their death with guerrilla warfare in the rocky valleys, I realized that they were just being instantly replaced...

It's like they weren't sure should they add that feature cause it isn't necessary for the game and it takes time. But they did it and I'm clad that they listenned fans.

Sadly I didn't. There were only screenshot that covered both pages and text was on top of it. The sreenshot was from the trailer where dragon flies towards dohvahkiin.

It wasn't. Just something that they thought was good back then.
Like with fast backwards running.
Or they never even thought of it, lol.
