Fire Salt, Moon Sugar, Snowberries, Briarheart, Jazbay Graqe

You can get Moon Sugar from the Khajits(no [censored]) outside Whiterun somewhere... they're camping :P

Both of the Skyrim wikis I checked didn't even give you the ingredients required to create a Restore Magicka potion, never mind where to find them.

Those are horrible ingredients to use for restore magicka; they are too rare. Use red mountain flowers and mora tapinella or white cap.

Moon sugar is some kind of illicit substance the Khajjit sell, I wish it was real :)
Snowberries grow around mountains, the 7,000 steps area around Ivanstead have tons of them along the path.
I think Fire Salts are from the flame elementals that magic users summon.

That was me, and I told you to go to all of the alchemical; stores. Graqes can be found wherever there is a table with food. Briarhearsts I find in dungeons and on forsworn and briarheart loot. Fire salt is in a lot of necro and magic user dungeons and snowberries are in the wild in valleys. I have only found moon sugar on drug dealers, which are random encounters.

Excellent information! This is the sort of stuff that I need to know! Thanks. There aren't NPCs who sell these things, are there?

Oh, hey there! I'm really lazy and was I hoping that some NPC somewhere might sell some of them. Looks like I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled!

I'm sure you can find all those things in small quantities in the alchemy shops. If you know what to look for though there are very common ingredients for restore health and restore magicka.

Have all of the ingredients that will make a Restore Magicka potion been listed in this thread? Are the ingredients in your post and in the title of the thread the definitive list of all things Restore Magicka?

Every NPC alchemist (in every city) should sell them. If you just want restore magicka, then its Creep Cluster and Red Mountain flower. The recipes I gave you the other day do regen magicka, fortify magicka, restore magicka. Check out a briarheart ectoplasm, glow dust recipe, which will fortify magicka, restore magicka and increase destruction spell damage.

Going through the mages guild=all of the alchemical ingredients you'd ever want.

I now know of a fair few ingredients to look out for, thanks.

I am level 9 and I haven't touched the Mages Guild. I was saving it for when my mage was a bit more powerful. I remember finding quests in Oblivion to be more interesting when your mage had some decent abilities- would it be worthwhile to play through the Mages Guild at a relatively low level?

some loot is leveled, in the mages guild, not too bad though and most of the leveled loot is later at the end of the quest line. I finished the mages guild with my pure mage build at around 13-15.

Snowberries aren't rare... they're all over the northern snowy areas, lining the roads like the mountain flowers do in the south. Jazbay are all over the volcanic tundra area (east)... they're just hard to see at first, since they're one of the plants that grows in patches on the ground, not as bushes.

I will start adding locations to the http://skyrim.melian.cc/?cmd=cmdSkyrimIngredientList on my site, where also the http://skyrim.melian.cc/?cmd=cmdSkyrimAlchemyWizard is located, but this will take some time.

Blue Mountain Flower and the mushroom can all be found around Whiterun, riding, walking along the mountain slopes. The mushrooms grow from broken tree stumps and the flowers grow along the road.

Spoiler
You need Jazbays (if I remember correctly) for a Crimson Nirnroot related quest. Don't waste them-- you need 30!

Fire Salt: Only around Conjurer or Daedric lairs, gotten by killing Fire Atronaches.

Moon Sugar: No clue about this one.

Snowberries: Extremely common wherever snowfall is and on the paths up in the northern mountains. Just wander around up near Winterhold.

Briarheart: Killing Forsworn leaders with the name "Briarheart" in their title. The forsworn are a common sight around Markarth.

Jazbay Graqes: Never seen any of these till I accidentally picked a bush of them after killing a Giant. Apparently they grow around underground springs and geysers out in the fields.
