FIringing at opponents on you side while sliding

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 1:41 pm

ok, so sliding is simple enough: Sprint and hold "B" (Xbox360).
And firing straight ahead of you while sliding is easy too: Sprint, hold "B", and RTrigger.

But how do you slide past opponents and fire at them as you pass them? basically, I'm trying to starfe slide. I've seen it on the trailer of the game's multiplayer, but I can't seem to do it. Everytime I slide and pan to the left or right (while sliding), I come out of the slide as soon as I pan.

Is there a way? if so, please assist. Thanks.

Depends how long and/or fast you've been sprinting for

It's impossible. You stop sliding when you try and aim to the side on Xbox.

I've tried these ways unsuccessfully:

1) Full energy, R anolog stick in and forward to sprint for one second, then hold "B" to slide, immediately release "B" to pan the R anolog to the right (while still holding in and forward the L anaolg stick to keep moving forward) and squeeze the R trigger to fire.

2) Full energy, R anolog stick in and forward to sprint for one second, then TAP "B" to slide (while still holding in L anolog stick to keep moving forward), immediately pan the R anolog stick to the right and squeeze the R trigger to fire.

Note: I've also tried releasing the L anolog stick while doing each of these ways and panning to the right. But no matter what I do, everytime I pan to the right or left when I'm sliding, my character just stands up.

Well THAT svcks! Why show it as a tactic on the multiplayer game trailer if you're not able to do it in game?

Because you can do it on PC. Not sure why they made it so you can't so it on Xbox.

I've tried it on PC also (using and xbox360) controller [I hate using the keyboard] and it still doesn't work.

For a short, strange while I thought I stumbled into the Xbox forums by mistake!

But yes, PC users can aim while sliding quite easily by sliding and moving their mouse around, but I suspect something to do with the way they did anolog sticks on the consoles overrides sliding when aiming. I know even in the PC version I often find it hard to trigger good long slides instead of short slides or just /crouching/ ugh...
