First DLC for Xbox only

Post » Sat Dec 17, 2011 2:49 am

I would rather them fix the game before I get any DLC. Besides why the heck would I need it now? There are still many things to do in the game.

See guys you are missing the big picture !!!!!!!! This DLC is a nice way of them fixing the game and getting paid for it .

What will this DLC contain is based on what the players are doing in the game the article says. Well I personally am doing nothing with the game right now as it DOES NOT WORK!

If the game did work and I could play it I would hope the DLC would allow the following .

Reinstate Talos worship Questline.

Marry the High Queen or Kill Ulfric and take his throne.

More rounded Crafting system allowing for crafting of itmes and substances found in the game that you can't currently make. Example Silver weapons.

Quests involving the psijic order : example getting the Eye of magnus back

Expelling the Thalmor would be nice.

A way to invest money into a shop that allows you to make a portion of gold directly.

These things and many more would be awesome IF the game was worth putting into the PS3.

In reality the DLC should contain

1) a Fix for the constant lag and or freezing the game currently suffers from.

2) Fixing the bugged questline currently in the game before adding new bugged quests.

3) Fix the reduced texture quailty

It should cost nothing and come with a Free model dragon from the collectors edition.

I used to be an RPGer like you but then I took a Skyrim to the bank account

Eh, I don't like it either but Microsoft paid for this privilege. keep in mind the money Microsoft paid to do this most likely went into making the DLC which eventually we all will get to play. As such I just can't build up a lot of rage over this because in the end we all benefit and it is a fair market approach.

Its only a benefit if the game functions enought to beable to actually enjoy a DLC.

After the flawed skyrim release its probably prudent to wait an see anyway.
Lets be honest, the PS3 version was bug riddled piece of software that was bearly worthy of the title "beta".

So they are going to let the xbox users pay for the beta version this time. :poke:
After 30 days patches together with the ps3 and pc versions will be available and we might be able to start with a more or less playable DLC.

GOOD! XBOX users can figure out all the bugs before we attempt to play it!

For me it's simple. Unless they fix the lag and most of the gamebreaking bugs before the DLC hits, there is no way I'm going to be buying it. Even if they were to fix the problems AFTER the DLC I still wouldn't buy it just because it would show that fixing the game isn't as high of priority for them as making more money is. I know that some of what I said is speculation but its just how I feel.

Plus, at least the XBOX crowd will be able to beta test it for everyone else :)

Not a bad deal really. Let Xbox playtest it for us before they release it to us so we can see if it even works right. Good job MS. Way to take the burden of testing it out and paying to get it early.

Ignorance is bliss, eh? People said the exact, same things about Fallout 3's DLC... yet Fallout 3's DLC were absolute crap on the PS3... barely playable, poor excuses for a purchased product. People need to learn history and never forget the past because to see the same naivety unfolding before my very eyes following past instances of the same crap and all the garbage Bethesda have already given to the PS3 community, I cannot believe people still trust anything they do on a technical level involving our platform. It's ludicrous. Expect the DLC to, as with Fallout 3, very visibly exasperate and worsen the PS3 issues, if anything (and to those not seeing issues, yet... the DLC will either convince you or drive you into denial). There is no bright side or silver lining, we've just been screwed over by some of the worst corporate interests in the gaming industry and that's that.

I don't see how they're going to get DLC to work with the sloppy PS3 port. Who's going to support this turd anymore anyway? The base games performance is a piece of [censored]. Sickens me.

Agreed.

What's worse is that now i feel that the PS3 version is being ignored completely.

Are you really surprised by this?

I'm not, lets be honest the PS3 port is simple an afterthought, they only advertise the Xbox version on TV.

PS3 always, Always gets the Sh***y end of the stick when it comes to gamesas games, thanks to a nice backhander from M$.

This!

I totally agree.

Makes me wonder if bethesda is incomptent or careless.

Yeah they aren't ONLY on Xbox ever, they are just on 360 for the first 30 days. Everyone else still gets them after that 30 day delay.

And we have known this for MONTHS.....

Trust fan boys to kick up a fuss about this, consoles need to do this to get the customers, it's just the same a buying food in different supermarkets, it's life get over it and stop being impatient, I could go down the hole mod root for p.c and the ps3 exclusives. In the end u gotta deal with it, u need competition.

My PS3 version works fine except for the bookshelf issue. I will definitely buy the DLC.

I'm glad that it'll be released on console(s) first. That way I can see how much of it needs to be beta tested.

Meh, I usually wait at least a year for DLC anyway. It typically fills in the gaps between subsequent major titles when I'm absolutely too bored to do anything else. DLC is not a priority to me. Never even tried the ones for Fallout 3 and I loved that game.

I wonder why MS would also backhand their other key market though?

I guess you can mark me up as one of the PS3 players who are happy with the overall performance of the game. I've put in over 100 hours of Skyrim on my fat PS3 with relatively few major problems. I've had a handful of freeze ups which isn't too bad considering the playtime I've put in, and thus far I've not run into any game-breaking bugs or major questline glitches. I'm not saying other PS3 users aren't having major problems, but its not an issue that is consistent among all PS3 players.

I don't care. That just means that all of the broken things will get patched. They'll be the guinea pigs for once. I'm fine with that.

Doesn't matter, modders do way better job than Bethesda and you'll get mods for free.

This was known like 3 months before Skyrim was even released lol.

And it's really not a big deal. Microsoft is obviously paying Bethesda a lot of money for this exclusive content. You'd have to be an idiot to not give in to that. Companies make money. Bethesda is a company.

I'm a bit disappointed that one platform will get preferential treatment. But, I would trade getting the DLC 30 days early for getting free mods, some of which will actually fix the game for my PC version any day of the week.
