First DLC for Xbox only

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 11:07 pm

This is old news. MS always tries to muscle in with their money to get people to play their crappy system. The 360 is clearly the lesser of the the two consoles. They just wasted a truckload full of money. How intelligent...

All those annual Gold Membership dues going towards something I can appreciate.

Who gives a [censored]? :P

I'm sure this is a huge deal for those [censored]less morons at Microsoft, but does anyone else care? :)

This has been known for ages - the date of the article linked by the OP is August for crying out loud - check the dates of articles before posting them as if it's new information!

Nice misinformation in the title OP or do you just read every other word in a sentence?

at least the wiki will be detailed when PS3/PC get it.

MS should have announced that again "big" right before the game came out, it might have had some influence, but now, that most have bought the game (and it's only delayed by 30 days), it' has almost no effect

PS3 always, Always gets the Sh***y end of the stick when it comes to gamesas games, thanks to a nice backhander from M$.

.................more like the reason being that there was a LACK of a decent backhander from Sony, They dont want to invest in development companies for the potential DLC first release yet you still aim your blame at MS and Bethesda.

Need to look a bit closer to home for the blame.

I play the xbox ver, and to me its not a big deal just means xbox owners get a 30day head start on the certification process that MS does before anything goes live so by the time thats done everyone will get it at the same time anyways

Eh, I'm on PC and it doesn't bother me. 30 days is not that big a deal.

Plus PC is always going to end up with a lot more thanks to mods, which is unfortunate for the consoles.

Really the only looser in it all is the Ps3...

Wow, I didn't see that coming. I play on PC. Don't even own a console...

It has been known about for ages. All this is is resurrecting old dramas in order to make a new complaints thread.

I wonder why MS would also backhand their other key market though?

?

Yes, PC users are going to swtich to Mac due to this outrage, I can see it now.

This is old news. MS always tries to muscle in with their money to get people to play their crappy system. The 360 is clearly the lesser of the the two consoles. They just wasted a truckload full of money. How intelligent...

I kind of have to lol at that. You actually think they wasted a truckload of money?

And I hardly think they were thinking "if we make 360 Skyrim DLC exclusive, people will buy and play our console! Genius!"

The console wars are over, nobdoy won, but there is a lot of money to be made with the player base for either the 360 or Ps3. Just seems like sour, bitter, eggs if one refuses to see that.

Look on the bright side. At least all the bugs will be identified before the PC release.

I wont touch this DLC. Even if it was given for free. It worries me even to think about the performance issues this will bring to an already broken game.

Broken game? Only true on the PS3. I haven't had any big issues on my PC version.

Meh so what. Microsoft bending over backward to give the impression that their platform is special, and greedy suits eating out of the palm of their hand: absolutely nothing new there.

In other words...

People that use Xbox 360 are going to beta test the DLC for better performance on the PC :intergalactic:

If there was a contract signed between Microsoft and Bethesda (which mostly likely happened), then they can't release DLC for other platforms. Simple as that.
We should ask for the game to be fixed and in working condition first before we request DLC for a broken game.

Its most likely that it is a contractual issue and I think MS has the better part of the deal. All or at least majority of skyrim commercials have been showing an xbox at the end and lists the other platforms in small writing at the bottom. Also, I think its harder to program things on a PS3 versus an Xbox so logically xbox would most likely be first to get something.

I don't think the console wars are ever truly over. If such was the case, then the 360 wouldn't be getting early access to Skyrim DLC.

Wow really old news.

However, as a PC user I am VERY glad about this as it will give them plenty of time to fix the dang bugs in the DLC before it's given to the PS3 and PC users. Thanks Bethesda!

I'm pretty sure Bethesda would love to release the DLC for all platforms at once. They are bound by a contract so can't.

One can say "well they shouldn't have signed the contract" but without seeing the contract I'm not going to.

I don't see how they're going to get DLC to work with the sloppy PS3 port. Who's going to support this turd anymore anyway? The base games performance is a piece of [censored]. Sickens me.

Then why are you still on the forums complaining about it if you hate it that much. I am on 360 and have only had minor problems with the game.
