First gameplay video in a month : V - Skyrim

Have they officially said they won't be attending GDC? If so, then PAX might be where they release at least a trailer. I still don't think they are going to actually demo the game til e3.

Bethesda loves PAX and have always demo'd their games there.

But to answer your question, there was a confirmation that they will be in PAX East, but nothing was mentioned about GDC.

Kidding, I'm actually astonished at how soon that is compared to how widely-spaced information was in Oblivion.

Well they waited so long to announce Skyrim just so they could give more information on it more quickly. As opposed to having the announcement and release separated by two years like before.

My money is still on the end of January. At the end of the month at Game Informer.

It's already been confirmed that the hub at Game Informer will not contain any video.

Normally I would disagree, but it would make sense to wrap up the end of the ES:V hub with a nice gameplay trailer.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but it sounds logical.

Are you sure? At the very end of the month, after the hub is finished, they usually show something really special for fans. Usually more screenshots or footage.

It's not that I don't believe you, I just don't remember reading anywhere where they said there was going to be no gameplay this month. If you could find a link to the statement it would be much appreciated.

I haven't seen the source but that's what people on this forum have been saying. It may be true, it may not. I'll try to find the source for you.

Game informer already said that they will have no gameplay on the hub.

"An" R implies one R, which rules out FebRuaRy, also ruling out the one month prediction. Looking more like MaRch, so two months, AT LEAST. ApRil is another option. Ouch.

Saying "an R" implies there will be at least one 'r' in it, but it doesn't necessarily limit it to only one 'r'.

I second that. A lot of people here were saying that they will show first videos at E3. To be honest, that wouldn't make sense, as they already put out a lot of screenshots. So I also think that it will be february!

You're officially done with questions for a week." now I'm wondering if he limited the no question to a week because there is going to be multiple new sources of information? am i crazy or does anyone else see this? BTW he said a month with an R in it for all we know a video could be coming tomorrow

Major info doesn't mean gameplay. We just got over twenty screens and info on gameplay that's pretty major. We also got a verse in dragon language and learned about the story. I wouldn't expect gameplay until march the earliest at GDC or pax east but at least we know e3 should have some good stuff in june. Bethesda isn't going to give us gameplay this month so soon.

They will demo the game at e3 just like they did with oblivion. Game informer hub should be updated monday with info on the engine/tech behind the game.

I doubt it would be just two slots, though, as multiple implies at least three, probably more.

yes I know he restricted you, this is not the point i was trying to make... why only a week? is there a lot more info coming in the next 2 weeks to where he would allow you to ask questions again? what other sort of questions would you need to ask now with the same info right?
