His head looks too robotic to be a cyborg, unless they scooped out his brain and placed it in a robot head like an advanced robobrain or something.

I can just imagine the protagonist looking like someone from Deus Ex now. Maybe Pulse weaponry will damage them synthetic humans. They might be restricted just to the Institute to prevent any raiders from revealing some wastelander to be a robot.

See, I can't even get super excited about this with that leak floating around. It's totally possible the leaker just got lucky, but...

14th can't get here soon enough.

Exactly this. I'm so tired of the old rhetoric that has been overdone at this point with novels, media, and movies such as Blade Runner and I, Robot.

No, robots are not people. But I bet Bethesda will try to push some misplaced sense of morality into the whole topic and somehow turn them into man's equivalent for the sake of generating a good vs bad plot.

I hope we have the option of cybernetic implants, again.

Some visual impact for serious stuff like a limb replacement would be awesome, not that i'm expecting gamesas to do something that deep based on their recent trends.

In the very least, if the image is any indication, it may be mechanically possible, thus fair game for modders to make.

I agree. It's almost insulting that those stories would compare racism between humans to 'racism' between robots and humans. The former is humans suffering under humans. The latter is a sentient pile of bolts 'suffering' under humans.

Man i hope that implants return, and that they are cosmetically shown on our characters. Get an agility upgrade in the form of a robo-hand, or something like that

But what happens when artificial intelligence reaches the level of biological human intelligence, when the mind of a meatbag becomes indistinguishable from the mind of a bucket of bolts? Should the former have less of a right to the same freedom of its biologial intellectual equals simply because it isn't a result of natural biologial processes? Should such a being have any more or less obligation to serve their creators than a son or daughter has to serve their parents?

In the very least, the prospect of treating artificial intelligences as equals lessens the possibility of angry robots bringing about another apocalypse.

Androids are human-like robots.

This. I want that outfit so bad.

Yeah, advanced prosthetics and whatnot in character creation would be really neat, but I'm not really expecting it.

Can I shoot it now? Or is it a plot character or will it gets me fat loots?

Seriously that will be the most that the average player will care about it

Heck yes I feel the same. I'd really be bothered for the entire playthrough if that were the case.

I'm willing to bet $5000 that this is going to be the case. We're going to get the grandiose Railroad Faction speaking to us like we're children about how evil the institute is and that androids should be free.

androids ("man-likes", literally translated) are organic bodies controlled by computer brains

robots are mechanical bodies, controlled by whatever, could even be just the other way around from androids, a mechanical body controlled by an organic brain

anyway, androids definitely ain't _no_ robots.

...and bladerunner was a cyborg, that's also not an android, but a tech"enhanced" human.
