Graphical mods that doesn't require the G.E.C.K will come first, higher textures for example.
This was the case with Skyrim so should be the same here.
Probably within a week or so as basic tools are put together.. However, they will likely be pretty basic, mostly stat edits, but maybe a few texture mods.
However, as with Skyrim, many of the early mods will be a bit iffy to use depending on how quickly modders learn the file system and scripts and other elements. Some, were never updated when the CK released and the game was patched and are often dangerous to use with regards to save game corruption.
seeing as the G.E.C.K. won't come until early 2016, most of the more in depth mods won't come out until then.
Hopefully something that fixes the holstering problem where your weapon vanishes into a void of awful game design. Something which hasn't plagued games for about 2 generations, yet Bethesda thinks it's somehow acceptable for a next gen game with about 7 years of development.
Like the void that holds the 38 weapons we are carrying around effortlessly? got it
At release we will get gamesaves, "highres" HQ hyper texture replacers (which are actually a bit sharpened and simple resized original ones) and the obligatory female nvde mod with bad painting where you can still see the underwear normal map. One or two weeks later the first real game mod with esp which destroys gamesaves because made with TESSNIP.
Good work takes time and I will wait to mod my game until the CK is out for at least a month.
The first Oblivion mod was a timescale mod. And one of the first Skyrim mods was also a timescale mod. So I suspect that, once again, one of the first mods to be released after the GECK is in our hands will be a timescale mod.
Well the first sort of mods will usually be a bunch of batch files.
Ini changes, ingame scripts (bugfixes/workarounds).
If you consider those as "mod" .
with mods cheats etc.. in mind
what are the odds the cheat codes from previous game will work in fallout 4 example is the ~ then type tgm = god mode for fo3 fonv and skyrim. I know there are a bunch of others for perks skills etc. my question is will they continue or will they finally remove these codes from the game?
He probably think active weapon, not loot. like it was in Morrowind and forward.
That will be an major undertaking, it will require animations and perhaps script extender.
Pretty much this, add various cheat mods who putt high end loot on your character.
I expect to see many basic game setting and .ini tweaks like 60fps cutscenes, changing the DOF in 1st and 3rd person.
if the resolution from the video's is the actual gameplay I cant wait to see what enb settings people come up with. but I'm thinking first mods will be bat mods for ini changes also. followed by a nvde skin mod they popped up prity fast in skyrim.
Why are you talking about mods before the game is even released?
Judging by the OB/FO3/SK mod lists over at the Nexus? Within hours, someone will put out some sort of basic tweak mod.
Because ingame setting never give you enough choices. They never have and they never will.
Think that some experience gain reduction mod will be one of the first, judging how Bethesda handled leveling in previous Fallouts.
Definitely the first day, possibly with in a few hours, never underestimate the ingenuity of the modding community.
There are plenty of games out there that don't officially support modding and don't have modding tools that still haver mods, the modding community has plenty of experience with the file structure and hierarchy used in Bethesda games so they'll be all over this in the first week.
They think it is acceptable because it is.
Minutiae like this is not the be all and end all of this game.
I think Skyrim had mods up on Nexus the first day it came out. I believe there are many people who don't actually play games,.. they just mod them.
That was never the problem. But for real and deeper stuff we need the CK and the NIFTools adjusted to the engine updates. So mods that are really worth downloading won't show up after the CK was released.
