Little bit of advice: Screenshots do wonders, even if what you've made is very vanilla, and those two mods in particular should be on the same page, since the butler is an add-on to your house mod, and a small enough one to be included on the same page.

How do you take screenshots?

and the reason there not on the same page is because some may not want a Butler in the house.

Some problems here:
Needs to be cleaned of 72 GMSTs.
Needs to be cleaned of four Dirty References...
com_chest_02_misc01
com_chest_02_misc05
a_furn_de_table_6
a_furn_de_chair_3

Uploading a Dirty mod on PES is not allowed. Read the rules of submission, please.
All mods on PES need to be packaged in a zip archive, and include a ReadMe file.

The Lighting is the default settings, which looks very boring. Made even odder by the fact that there is no source of light (candles, lamps, etc) in the entire house.
Poorly placed Statics. Like the bottom of the trapdoor, for example.
Mismatched Interior sets look ugly. (Redoran piece among the Hlaalu?)
All Interiors should have a Northmarker, and point it in the correct direction.
This needs much more detail. The place looks very drab and boring without Clutter, Tapestries, Lights, etc.

Also, why use Activators for some of the furniture? The same furniture can be found under Static.

How do you take screenshots?
In the Morrowind.ini file, change
Screenshot Enable=0
to
Screenshot Enable=1
And then press "Print Screen" on your keyboard to take a shot.
Or, you can make a macro with MGE to take screenshots.

and the reason there not on the same page is because some may not want a Butler in the house.
You could always just include an optional "Butler-version" esp with the original mod, so people can choose which version they want.

Pluto, what are dirty references? Tried looking for rules of submission to see, but couldn't find them.

Pluto, what are dirty references?
A Dirty Reference is when you edit an object that has other references (being used elsewhere) in the game, and then Save the changes to that object. This makes every reference of that object use your changes, because they all use the same ID.
To avoid this problem, you either exit the object's edit window without saving (just close it.)
Or rename the ID of the object, which then creates your own unique object (which you can then edit/save all you want without referencing other objects.)

Tried looking for rules of submission to see, but couldn't find them.

It said it was clear of gmt's. Dirty references to rotating chairs and tables? i didn't want my furniture moving around all over the place so i changed the script as it seemed pointless i don't think i changed anything on the chests. just about every mod i've downloaded from their does not include a readme. thank you for the feedback on the lighting and such.

The version I got from PES has the standard 72 bad GMSTs.

Well, if you don't use Activators with SignRotate scripts attached to them, then they don't rotate... but by removing the scripts you create dirty references! Use the standard Static furniture, or create unique IDs.
You might have accidentally changed the chests or something, but they do have references that should be removed.

The easiest way to remove references is use TESAME or Enchanted Editor to delete them from your esp.

Ask anyone here.... 99% of all mods are packaged in an archive and include a ReadMe file. That is the standard.
If you've been downloading a lot of mods without these things, then you've been using mods made by other people not familiar with the rules of submission at PES.

You most definitely want to remove the GMSTs. They can cause serious problems. That's why it's one of the Rules of Submission at PES. http://www.mwmythicmods.com/argent/tech/gmst.html
TESTool can do it for you in one second. (and there's many other tools for that too)

GMSTs change everything. If they weren't important, you wouldn't hear so much yelling about them, eh?

One other hint, when you're using statics, there is no field/ option for scripts.

Edit: If you use TESTool, don't use "Just fix it" or you will regret it.

No one's being mean here, we're just dispensing useful advice. I don't see anyone posting "YOU svck!!". Not yet anyway. :P

You guys jumped him saying his mod has 72 GMST's, then you gave him advice in a sort of harsh way. New modders should be taken in and encouraged to do his or her best. Instead he or she gets told his mod has bad lighting and so on.

You think we're being harsh? Check out the comments some people leave on PES some time, especially for the mods that have no screenshots that really need them, and/or are dirtier than a dead mammoth's butt crack. They're not helpful, we're telling the OP what to do in order to not spend months making mods that no one likes and not knowing why.

I do believe that Pluto's comment was standard for the province mods, and while it may have been a little harsh, I personally think that it was a good review. It was criticism, but it was constructive criticism.

I have to disagree they are telling him nicely o-o I don't see anything that can be considered harsh in this topic.

I don't believe anybody's being mean here. There are facts which the guy needs to be told. If you want to talk mean, way back when, I published one of my first mods... It had no GMST issues, none of the usual "dirty ref" problems, but there were a dozen or so AMBI refs for which I caught hell for days.

All Interiors should have a Northmarker, and point it in the correct direction.

Poppycock. Missing north markers are rarely noticeable.

Silverfox and I just have a more gentle, tactful approach to giving criticism than what is standard here, especially when it is not requested and the topic is prefaced by "my first mod." To avoid going off topic, I think at this point we can let Unconnected One tell us whether or not he likes how he is being related to.

Harsh
I don't think so. I try to keep my advice free from emotion.
I'm just giving suggestions in a straightforward manner, especially when pointing out common mistakes that get made often, like default lighting.

Every vanilla cell has one. I see them as a practical part of world-building that ties the game together.

I prefer Pluto's and Dana's kind of constructive criticism. it is much more helpful then other people's responses i've received on this forum. what they said was fair. Now. can i get a link to one of these things that clear GMST's? Preferably an easy to operate one.

Open the plug-in with this program, and scroll down until you see the Game Settings, then you can delete them. Simple enough.

Could you please add more to the readme, like where the house can be found in-game?
