My first Oblivion play through.

Hello people. A couple of weeks ago i asked you lovely lot if i should experience Oblivion before i purchase Skyrim, overwhelmingly you all said yes. Well today i recieved my Oblivion anniversery edition and i will be starting it tonight after work. I've always played Fallout and was wondering if there are any similarities between the two games and if theres any tips you could give me on gameplay. Is the map as open world as FO, is there a weight limit restriction, can you do your own character build, do you level up like FO, can you use companions and is it as good as people say. I know i could find out most of these things on the internet but i would like to know from you, the people that matter. Any replys would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! Welcome to Oblivion :)

Did you buy your game for Console or PC?

Yes, it's an open world like Fall Out. I believe that's about the only thing similar. Leveling system is different. Your weight limit is defined by your Strength attribute. And yes! you can easily customize your own build. There are presets to choose from or you can create your own custom class.

If you have played Fallout you'll probably find your fingers are already familar with Oblivion

You might find the menu more fiddly (it's tab hell).
